The aspect ratio is on the higher side for 195 mm width. Correct size should have been 195 / 60 R15 thus maintaining the overall standard wheel diameter.

1.reason to by city over gli?
2.hows the drive? (like tire and wind noise )
3.any drawback in AT trans? or do u prefer MT.?

3. Both are good, every one buy its own easiness.

Ok. but what buzzes me is the look of the car. current one are so small specially the rear ones. they look odd. i mean the space is just too much. the small tyre looks like that of a scooter. what if i go for 185/65/15?

Secondly, can anyone tell me the price of Michelin tyre 185/65/15 or 195/65/15. I wana change my general tyres 175/65/15 with those. So needed to know how much i am going to pay more. My current general are used for 700 Km. Am unable to find current prices on internet.

Oh. I have gone through a lot of discussion on xli over city. In that case there is a straight away answer CITY!!!. But when it comes to GLi vs. City then the only thing thats matters is ur pocket. Cars are both good.

1. Much lower purchase and running cost (much fuel economy than any corolla).

3. MT=No problem. in AT=u cant install CNG. Mind my words u cant no matter what others have to say.
4. In greenery areas and good road conditions, nothing beats red. But other than that i prefer Silver.
5. Nothing really necessary. But i went for leather poshes and Key-less entry.
6. Matter of pocket. I prefer Civic over GLi (all shape, economy and confort-wise) and City (only shape-wise) both.
7. Yes, its true. But havent needed it yet. Will look for mod then will tell u.

1) u save 1.5lakh, u get more power, more economy,more stability, better looks, and the top of all, much better drive.
2)its just excellent.noise is a little bit more then idsi(bcuz this city has vtec) but far less then corolla. check this video, despite the rpms in max range, u dont hear a lot of noise, n i know it cuz i was driving it

6) if u drive not more then 50km a day,its better to buy a civic which has 30-60k kms mileage.but if u drive too much, like me, then ur civic will get too old too soon, so better get a brand new car
7) yes, sadly, they have ripped off a few very small things frm it and arm rest is one of them.but its no big deal, u can get it custom made easily.

   3.You can't use CNG in AT, otherwise best performance on petrol. I prefer AT.
3. I like Royal Blue, Silver, Black and Dark Grey in the new City.
4. You want to buy the car or something else??
5. Your decision. Whether you prefer a brand new car that is not likely to give any major problems or you want to buy a car with great looks but half the fuel mileage of a City (hence double the petrol costs). Also parts of Civic are costlier and a used Civic may also give you some unexpected 'shocks' after the purchase.

can u ppl please guide me about HIDs? a friend got a 2010 city and is not at all satisfied with the headlights, the visibility at night is far less then an idsi, which i guess is due to the smaller light housing.hes planning to put HID, but i ve heard from some ppl that HIDs r just for show off, they certainly make the ones on the outside blind but frm inside, u cant really see any better then stock lights, bcuz HID just disperses without focusing on specific areas, unlike stock lights.is it true? and some say there r only a few ranges of HID which actually make visibility better, like 3500k or 4000k... what do u guys say?

I have searched the market and get feedback from people over the topic of installing CNG in new city.
The answers mostly are negative for the fact that CNG later causes problems and that petrol average is very good for city. However the actual average will be observed after driving atleast 5000 KM. Till date I drove 3000 KM.
Currently my car is giving me average of 11 Km / Litre in city driving.
I have been to Hyderabad and on that route my average was 16.9 KM / L.
Still I am confused whether to install CNG or not.
My daily drive is about 70 KM but the fuel consumption increases a lot when I return from office to home i.e. from I.I. Chundrigar Road to FB Area.
There is a lot of traffic jam & hardly gets a chance to drove at 4th gear.
If such traffic jams were not there, my car would easily go to 14 KM / Litre in city drive. I drive almost bumper to bumper in my way back.
Plz. update / comment on installing CNG or NOT ??

brother i dont know who told u that CNG causes problems.it doesnt, BUT if the car is taken care of.i know some ppl with 14000kms on odometer of new city, driving on cng, no problem.the engine is basically of almost the same design (L series) as of idsi, and idsi is more then happy on cng, mine has done 164,000kms and going great.so i dont think there shud be any problem with installing cng.just go ahead, get cng, but take good care of ur car, change filter/oil/plugs on time... n u shud be out of trouble... these days ppl have cng in accord/camry/parado/surf and even few lower model mercedes and bmws...

I have installed Yokohama Aspec 15/60/195 in my Honda City 2010 MT, but everyone suggesting to install 65 profile tire, did i do wrong? Should i also installed 15/65/195 size? That shop keeper told me that 65 profile size tires are for corolla which have height difference in it, while Euro Start 15/65/175 and Yokohama Aspec 15/60/195 both have same height in difference when he show me both tires together. He said if i will go for 65 profile, my car height will increase and driving will not give pleasure.

You have installed correct tyre size. Dont listen to wrong advisors. Enter the values in the tyre size calculator and u will yrself see that 195/60-R15 is perfect upgrade :

One more question, when I drive my Honda City 2010 MT under 2000 RPM and then do rapid acceleration, car Pick is not so good, it feels like i driving it on CNG. Like if you drive car in second gear at 20KM speed and try to accelerate car in same gear, it does not pick so rapidly.

Please Advice.

Some of Tires Comparison website told me that there is also a speed difference. What i understood from there is that, on 15/65/175 If my speed showing 100KM/H in dashboard meter then on 15/60/195 tire size that same speed will show little less then that (i.e, 95KM/H)

There will be a slight diff with yr new tyre size eg when yr speedo meter reads 100 km/h u will be actually travelling at 101.1 km/h. Its neglibigle. Dont worry and just relax

Brother i am planing to install CNG in my City 2010 as well. I have already done market research. There is no problem at all. Iam waiting for 1000 km then I am going for the Italian one. Dont listen to these fack informers. They know nothing about Honda. My friends have already installed CNG in their Citys 2009 and 10. They are more than satisfied. But rememberinstall it from a well reputed mechanic.
