Can someone help me out? I have a 2012 City with AT, that has done 25k kms; for the past few months there is this awful "delay" between the accelerator and the wheels that has developed, and I have no idea what the cause could be.

I hit the gas, on the tachometer you can see the engine revving up, but there is this awfully long delay (0.5 - 1.5) before the car actually kicks into gear and starts moving.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Kindly suggest me new corolla gli model or honda city manual... which one should I buy. Plz reply with reason as I want to get it by Monday

Gli has better shape better suspension and obviously new generation but it will be available in august.......Honda city Is a nice car if to be kept on good a smooth roads with less people in car as in my case if three people are there on back seat car usually hit on speed breakers
So make decision according to your use....secondly gli has security issue you should never keep corolla without insurance

Thanks for detailed reply. I normally drive myself in karachi. And I am looking to get one with driving comfort as I heard corolla is not drive pleasure option as compare to city.... will I get better resell value of city if I make mind to change it in 1 year

Don't know about Karachi car market but if you keep car neat and clean then here in Lahore and Islamabad it can sell at good price

Same problem started in my city after completing around 52000 km. Showed it to Honda 3S they said it will be gone after throtle service. They did it but the problem is still there. Changed plugs for no betterment at all. Showed it to three other mechanics, they said three different reasons. The one clicked me was cleaning/replacement of fuel filter/fuel pump. But when I checked service history of my car, fuel filter was replaced on 40000km. Nobody has any idea now. I have noticed good mechanics of Honda cars are a bit rare. If I come across any solution, will let u people know here.

Anyone please guide me that which oil will be best for honda city 2005 idsi with 142000 on odo and engine in excellent condition(never reduce oil)

In my city, which is 122k km on the ODO, always used honda genuine oil from honda classic and honda center...i think the thing which is recommended and done by company itself is most authentic and best...in my opinion always go for Honda genuine oil from Honda...in my other civic 01, every single oil change since 2001 has been done by Honda.Both the cars have excellent silent engine, just like zero meter...u wont believe but i ll add here that we never poured a single drop of water/ coolent in both the cars till date...so u can now well imagine the condition of spick and span engine.

Can you explain what "throttle service" actually is, what it specifically entails?

do check gear oil level.when did you last time changed gear oil?

I tried to find out in some solution of issue which my Honda City 2012 Aspire 1.3 (with key less entry - not change in wiring etc has been made) is showing but could not succeed yet. May be friends on this thread help me better.
Yesterday I got my car checked up as per routine on 45,000KM mileage from Honda Gateway. Battery had less water so it was filled as per requirement. Every thing remain fine throughout the day and night. Today in the morning when I tried to start the car, it was not being started. In the beginning Key less functions and odo meter lights were working but when I tried to start the car, all the lights (dashboard screen and odo) went off.
In the evening light are very dim. Car is not being locked and opened by key less entry. I understand that battery is either dead or not charged.
1. I want to confirm from you guys whether it is a battery problem or some thing else.
2. If it is a battery problem then will there be the effect on car software / programs (like JDMs) when battery is taken out?
3. Is it safe to take battery out by opening the terminal or any special care is required.
These question may be silly for many of readers here so I apologize in advance.

For sure, the problem is battery, just change it with new one. Or at least once charge it full & then use.
The other software thing should be asked from service center, the technical details.

When the battery water is too low it is to be refilled in stages , if you top it up the battery will stop working and secondly the car is two years old its time to change battery!
Nothing will happen just change it !
