I didn't say that you shouldn't use grade 0w in Pakistan, i just wanted to say if there are 0w grade oils available in Pakistan then they must be for colder regions or for winter seasons. But as you said you are using 10w30 even being in the northern areas of pakistan, then I don't know why they launch such grades. And it's not about the oil grade only, there are many things in the oil, which are known by engine experts and they know which engine oil to use in which engine.
There is not a single car for which there must a universal oil, there is a great diversity; different companies, models, engines, manufacturing and above all the different user conditions.
Honda's manual suggest different ranges of grade to use, whichever you feel suitable for your car but they here only prepare grade 10w30 ( mineral ) n 5w30 ( synthetic ), so they would b definitely asking to use these.
I don't know much about automobiles, this honda city is my first car, and this was my first oil change. I even didn't know that zic HIFLO is mineral oil, and I changed it with the synthetic one and that also with the lower grade. I read somewhere on the forum that before converting from mineral to synthetic oil, the engine must be cleaned off the mineral oil otherwise engine will be affected.
And as you are having new cars to use, so a lower grade oil will not be an issue but my car is 9 years old but has run only 52k, so if this is old enough to use a higher grade then which one to use keeping in view the conditions?
Now I don't know what to do.
