Need one suggestion from experts. When ever i apply emergency break the abs get deployed and it seems like car acceleration is decreasing at a very slow rate. Do i need brake shoe replacement ??? Its city 11 model.

2 years old and 60k plus done. But thread is still fresh. Its brigstone touring 195/65/15

I think you have used your tires for good and need to change them. Brake pads would have required replacement only if they were producing sound or were sluggish (which in your case is not).

And what do mean by ebrake?

P.s. handbrake is called the ebrake.

I just brought home my new hobda city prosmatec. Upgraded the tires to 185/65/R15 AdvanDB (7,500/- each, eurostar sold for 10,000)

I want an opinion on which option should i opt for.

1. Utility package (mats, trunk tray, air press) 15,000/-.

2. Back cam camera w/out navigation chinese (14,000/-)

3. Genuine fog light (6,000) + chinese air press (1500) + chinese trunk tray (2000) + chinese floor mats 2000.

Will appreciate your opinions.

1- Dont go for "Utility package" it has even cheap quality compared to aftermarket ones (mats and tray). visit the market and you will find a wide range of items just in 2-3k (dont bother if they are Chinese or not. They just need to look cool). I bought air press in 1500/- with fitting they are just like original and looks nice (Children mostly broke them when they try to through out "LAYS WRAPPER" by half open windows).

2- Fogs genuine in 6000/- is a good deal. back camera and LCD should fit in original place and try to find the "capacitive" display rather than "resistive". (If it respond quickly with your fingers soft touch without pressing the glass, then it is capasitive. it will last longer even with rough use. If you need to press the screen or it work well with you finger nail then it is resistive and it will die soon if used by children. My original OEM navigation is resistive (Shame for HONDA).

3- Is there any difference in suspension response after changing the tires? please share you own careful observations.

Yes, there is alot of noticeable difference in the ride quality. Grip and braking has improved. Noise from tires has reduced alot (advanDB is supposed to do that. 0 Decibal for DB.

For some strange reason the shopkeeper was insisting that i should buy 195/65/R15. I don't really drive fast anymore so didn't go for 195. Honda recommended is 185.

Yes. But you also need to use less sudden braking. Not to lecture you or anything but you only get one shot at life.

Anyways let us know how your problem got resolved ultimately. And do show the brake pads to the mechanic as well to clear any doubts.

Using advanDB 185/65 on brothers honda city 2015 aspire prosmatec 1.5

Just Bought advanDB 185/65 for my city prosmatec.

There is some difference and it becomes a bit heavy but it is hardly noticeable.

Also note that 185 is the recommended size for this car so.....

Its Currently on 19k+ on odo

1st tuning was done on 1000KM which is free ofcourse by honda

I am new in the cars its gift of father when i graduated thats why dont know much..

1. See your car manual for tunning and other maintenance interval.

2. Please be specific on the filter. Guard is a company which makes filters. It can be the air filter or engine oil filter or anyother.

3. The efficiency of spark plugs is highly debated. There is a separate thread on this topic. I personally prefer oem spark plugs. Changing your plugs from the recommended will void your 40k warranty.

4. Again changing oil from oem recommended voids warranty. Also There is a separate thread on which oil to use.

5. Search this thread for ABS related issues. You will find this question has been answered in detail multiple times.

6. Fuel range doesn't use the reserve fuel. Its a safety feature. In short it is normal that you can drive your car even after 0km range.
