AOA, recently bought Honda City 2008 (MT). Car is 1,00,000 km single handed driven throughout on petrol (No CNG). I need expert opinion about following matters

1. there is no coolant in the radiator, i would like to immediately flush it out and replace it with proper / recommended coolant. is it necessary to visit Honda 3S for this job or i can do it from any where else (i am in ISB) Kindly share the contact details of any good / reliable workshop.
2. Is it necessary to change all the fluids? if yes, kindly specify all of them (or should i take print out of details mentioned on the first page of this blog).
3. which is the best Honda 3S in Isb/Rwp, what would be the expected charges for complete fluid change / service at Honda 3S.

4. There are 08 plugs, what are the pros / cons of iridium tip spark plugs, is it worthy to install them?

I know here ppl already discussed all these things previously, but as m new, plz do share the page no (if already discussed) or help me out.

For honda manual gear boxes fulid recommended is actually engine oil (believe it or not) pour delo gold in your gearbox and the gear will get smooth as silk

Hmmm but there must be some disadvantages as honda didn't use this technology in newer engines.

Yes disadvantage is there because of two spark plugs honda had too put only two valves per cylinder idsi engines have no top end plus no vtech

Currently using Zic A+ 5w20...is this good if not then plz recommend me best grade and oil..???

How does it work? I mean like in our liana its 4 coil towers over 4 plugs... How is the setup with 8 plugs?

One spark plug is on intake side one on exhaust side
All spark plug have different coils 8 plugs and coils
Both spark plug on one cylinder fire a part one fires and A bit later second fires

If one wants power,smoothness etc no
If one wants like mileage then yes

5000 Kms is not going to happen in 3 more months , its 3 months or 5000 kms which ever comes first

next will be when your car touch 5k kms

they will change all the fluids in car (ur cost)

and they will NOT change the oil for you (ithink),
because that damages the warranty (the so called warranty)..

Why,d they change all the fluids? only Engine oil is required to be changed as per manual.

1.Replace what ever is currently in your cooling system with a good quality coolant
If your planing to use honda type 2 coolant then get it done from honda otherwise from a good workshop
Isb members can guide you better
2.apart from engine oil this car has mtf brake and clutch fluid get them replaced (Honda mtf and dot 3 brake fluid )
3.No idea

4.installing 8 iridium plugs would be costly but you wont have to replace them every 20k kms

firstly congrats for the new car, im sure you will be loving it, you chooses a good one

iwill suggest you to do all the mention work from HONDA showroom , because these are the items which you want to be good one, and you can trust honda showroom, and because its your new car, so obviously NOW you will be needing the best...

1: change the coolant from show room , not a big deal
2:change all the fluids, including mobiloil, brake fluid etc, so from now you will have the idea when to change them again, change the one which are available in dealership
3: isl/rwp members will guide you, or you can go to any authorised dealership
4: 8 plugs are for better fuel consumption, they can work till the last drop of fuel left in tank, iridium will be costly, (ithink 2500rs per iridium plug, im not sure, i might be wrong or i might be TOTALLY wrong), if cost not an issue go for it, it will be good for fuel mileage.

while doing this iwill suggest you to clear throttle body and fuel tank also, as i have once done in my 2006 city, and i was really amazed and happy from the outcome, real good pick and better fuel mileage...

these were my view/suggestions
