Just wanted an opinion on the mileage. We've got a 2010 Honda City, and am getting a mileage of 12.85 km/l on daily commute over Islamabad highway with AC (from DHA - F11). What are your thoughts?

That’s too low for Islamabad, even in heavy traffic you could get 15+ easily in Lahore with AC.

What is your odo reading?
Fuel filter, Catalytic, throttle service, Tappet adjustment and Spark Plugs.
You may need to replace/service one or all of the above.

I never get that sort of milleage.... how much km's you run on full tank?

Even my brand new 2019 isn't hitting 15+ with ac. Without AC I'm getting 16 easily (manually calculated) but with ac it's 13 maximum.

That's an astonishing figure man! I get that on motorway at speeds of 120 km/h. The ODO reading is 120k, it's been maintained by Honda.

Just to clarify the Islamabad express highway during rush hours is kind of jammed. Catalytic might need a change because it had been pressed from one side but not broken, the honda guys said that it can go for another 40-60k depending on the fuel I use.

This is why I wanted to know if my average had dropped way more than what others are getting.

It's a manual 1.3, 120k on ODO. By the way the mileage is calculated manually, the LCD shows around 14.5 km/l.

Bro many people believe the average shown on the speedometer however it is very inaccurate (in the City at least). Baaqi, 12.8 with AC is a good average. My neighbor's 1.3 Prosmatec gives him 11.

Also, I believe you should get your catalytic converter cleaned. I don't think it'll improve your fuel average that much but it'll increase your car's pick.

The ac compressors are not sensor ones in Honda city i believe and its start and stop mechanism makes fuel consumption a little towards the lesser side.

Don't know bro but with ac, vehicle is like throughing the fuel out. Sometimes even 11.5-12 on ac. But without ac I'm hitting 16.6 now a days. Getting 33% more mileage. Being a student it's a lot.

The day before yesterday i had to pass through very deep rain water which came unside the car as well. I have got leather flooring (raggezine) in the car. I got the water cleaned from the car but i am afraud it would have gone beneath the leather flooring to the carpets and it would not dry and rott the original carpets. Whats the solution?
By the way can water come in from the doors or it would have entered from beneath?
