Is the alternator generating enough current?. Same thing was happening to my city. It worked fine without AC but as soon as AC was turned on, the rpm dropped and the whole car vibrated. Turned out to be a faulty alternator.

So, I need to change the engine of my Honda City IDSI and I need help. Can anyone tell me how much the engine will cost in Karachi and a good place to get it from. I would like to buy the engine with gear clutch assembly and all sensors attached.

A good l15 would cost u around 60-70k with assembly from nose cut..in Lahore. Karachi is cheaper a bit due to bigger market . Dont try to get l12 ..of u are changing everything change to 1.5l engine.

Only get from nose cut, cost will be a bit higher than loose engines but you will gdtt complete setup and wiring

Reached Rawalpindi safely at 6pm on 30 May. Car performed well throughout despite extreme temperatures in Sindh and lower Punjab. Only faced one strange problem of A/C blower after Multan. It blew out air at very low speeds leading to warm cabin. A/C was chilling but blower was too slow. Today it was working just fine. I think using it continuously for many hours probably caused the blower motor to heat up and reduce it's speed. Otherwise the car drive well with two adults, two children and trunk fully loaded at speeds up to 140km/h on Motorways.

I would recommend this trip to anyone but only in winter. Summer is too harsh for car and occupants.

Is cabin AC filter installed in your car? If yes then it might have gone dirty and restricting air flow.

There was a problem in idle sensor ...
The mechanic did some adjustments n now the car is fine

My City is 2012 model. Cabin air filter was not installed in that model year. My own diagnosis is that the fan blower motor probably became overheated owing to to the hot overall temperature and continuous running for 6~7 hours. I will get it checked to confirm.

Thank you for responding. Now this may be a stupid question but is the L15 available in manual transmission, because to my limited knowledge, these were made for the VARIO variant of the City.

Steermatic engines and tranny are easily available

There is no chance for AC motor to get hot and slow. Motor either works fine or just fried and give you nasty smoke. I have CITY 2013 and 6-8 hour continuous driving and then on and off city driving for whole day did not put any effect on the performance of AC blower. You had some electrical fault its better to get is fixed by some good mechanic.

Yes, I think you are right. I plan to get it checked. Maybe a sticky relay or something. The speed was intermittent so it might be something which is degraded in performance but not totally defective.

Ws salam, the volume buttons along with ch and mode will work but not the cruse system, I have installed these in my City

Guys need some help, can anyone please confirm if alloy rims can be de shaped? I replaced my steel rims with Aspire one and during wheel balancing the guy told me that one of the alloy rim is not in proper shape, it is possible? and do we have a solution for this?

Alloy rims are much more prune to damage than steel rims. They can be de-shaped easily in car crashes or by hitting wheels with hard shoulder of the road.

Alloy rims just break. Oem ones last a long time but steel rims are better of u are using oem copy/ Chinese ones.

I dont know exactly if alloy rims can be repaired. There are rim repair shops who repair steel rims you can ask them. But its better to replace with a new one.
