It's a part of axle which is rotating while race is pressed and due to its rotation, sound is being produced. I don't know exactly what do we call this part, but I was told by mechanic that it is balancing/ bearing something of axle which is making this sound.

Is it dangerous for me to continue driving with this problem of axle? Sound is not that prominent. If you focus then you can hear it.

Can this be sound from gear box?
Please help. One of the mechanic said this is not axle but gearbox which is making sound in forward gears while pressing accelerator. Light Tak yak yak tak tak

Aoa pakwheelers. I am going to start my city mt 1.3 2016 after 2 months. Any precautions I should take before starting the engine? Battery terminals were removed 2 months back and now its time to reconnect the terminals and start the engine. Any suggestions observations will be welcomed.

I would check level of engine oil and coolant first. If satisfactory then go ahead and start. Let the engine idle for 3~5 minutes and then slowly move. Should be OK, in my opinion.

Any ecu relearning required? I removed the -ve terminal only

No nothing. I did that with my car when I went on holidays. The engine stumbled for a second when restarted and then became perfectly normal.

City 1.5 prosmatec 2018 33k driven

The sound of kat kat kat kat while pressing race in drive mode is coming from gear box. Got the car checked from Honda Shahrae faisal and from two other mechanics. My car is only 33k driven and issue with gearbox arises.

Honda Shahrae faisal quoted me around 6 lac for gearbox replacement. Other mechanics asked me to repair gearbox or replace with kabli one.

I am seriously annoyed

The gearbox shouldn’t be that much, you are paying for the dealership 300% markup , overpriced labor costs and filling heavy corporate bellies. Don’t buy it from the wrong place.

I doubt it needs a whole gearbox, i used to take my old car to suzuki and the foreman told me your car needs a new car, instead of fixing the 1700 radiator leak he wrote a 17lac prescription.

Even if you need a new gb this old one will be sold and will be adjusted in new ones price.

I won't be buying new one from Honda. Sound is very minor, can only be heard if you concentrate.

One of the mechanic 'auto gear workshop' located at Jail Road inspected and said there is nothing wrong with gears.

One of the other mechanics said problem is not your gears but something like 'star body' which is also located inside gearbox. This star body rotates axle and this is where problem lies with any gear (its teeth or something)

What should I do?

Go with the kabli one? (Cost of kabli for 1.5 auto) will it will relaible enough?
Get gear system repaired? ( Gear that one issue will get fixed then another will popup)
Leave it as it is until sound is very prominent?

Please suggest. I am confused and sad ( such a big problem rises in almost new car)

Your call, most people learn to live with it. It is like throwing big money at such a minor nuance.

I am sure there can be a better way to fix this down the road. In the mean time keep looking on the internet people talk and that can save you money. A proper diagnosis alone solves 90% of the problem then its just a matter of replacing that oring/retainer/star etc. It is going to ge a 80rs part in reality.

Best way to let it idle for 10-15 mins (until radiator fan kicks in) it will calibrate the throttle and maf sensor.

Can u suggest good gear oil. I will also replace with the new one. God knows, if it can solve the problem.

I have checked the current oil. It is up to the desired level but thicknesses seems to be very less. Possibly it might be the reason gear is knocking.
