My dad gets around 10.5 on the same route. Its purely dependant on driving style.
The same car gets 16.5+ at 105-110, and 14.5+ at 120 on the motorway (VTEC stage 1 gets deactivated.)
I often take it to 4000 rpm for acceleration if the road is empty, so my foot isn't exactly light.
More important than keeping the rpm low, the trick is to conserve your momentum and minimise the use of brakes.
If there are multiple speed breakers ahead, or if there is a turn or a signal ahead, there is no need to accelerate. I often see drivers zooming towards a signal and braking in the last moments; it's both dangerous and unnecessary.
Similarly, there is no need to accelerate to the speed limit if your turn is less than 400m ahead.
