AOA guys! I will be getting an oriel prosmatic in a week or so. So, my question is that how do I know ke the navigation system is the newer one and not the one that was previously coming in civic? Any physical differences?

For new one ull pay 68,500/- and for old ull pay 60,000/- New one comes with additional front cam...

Both new and old one are just pathetic !
Touch is not that good as it's resistive in 2014
New one is slow and really slow according to our member who recently bought another silver 9th gen with new navigation ( sjeshan)
My navigation has stopped working all of a sudden ( some error in card )
Poor quality stuff !

Naviagation is not worth its price ..it is slow ...it is resistive and have the most pathetic audio quality ... I've used Honda Navs for three years but ditched it this year ...

On the other hand Corolla has taken a lead in this regard. Altis' s touch is fluid, it is capative and responsive to operate

Agreed.. Probably this Navigation system is the only thing i dont like about Civic but had to go for it as Civic's stock audio player is even worse... Altis's new Nav system is however Superb...

The windows CE nav (old one) is fine. I agree its overpriced but it has all the features and works absolutely fine. Never had any hang or major lag issues. Slight lag is present but its bearable. The cam, USB, nav, bluetooth all the things work great.
sound quality on stock speakers is superb.
the remote with the scroll button/function works great. I use it alot. Steering controls are also butter smooth.

So instead of opting for navigation, I should look for some after market ones? Will they provide the in cabin camera?
I have heard about the 40 sec startup delay of the system... what can be done for that?

I have the new Navigation, it has the worst startup delay. I talked to Tracking world guy. According to him, it is because they have to show that Warning first.

This is making the reverse camera function utterly useless. What is the point of it if you have to wait a minute to be able to reverse ur car.

Older nav unit doesn't have this issue
Reverse cam comes within seconds when we shift to R
And yes I am not talking about some crazy audio fans but for normal people the stock speakers are nice good sound and bass levels
Atleast the best stock speakers / sound in all locally assembled cars including new corolla

So atleast someone can add an amp and components if they wish. I heard they have rca outs on previous nav, need to buy the cable from tracking world i guess

None of the nav has the rca out ready like the aftermarket players. They do have the option though. You have to buy a connector worth 3000rs which will connect to this nav and allow rca connections

So guys, as u know I will be getting the civic just after eid. I wanted to know keep what things should I check when getting the car from the show room? And precautions? Any suggestions like checking a certain part or something?
Also, what upgrades should I go for right after I have received the car? Like tyres etc?
And should I go for a complete polish right after I get the vehicle to protect the paint?
I am sorry but m a complete noob in such matters.
Looking forward for the replies.
