Honda Civic 2013: Pakistan launch

Guy! Since for last 2 years Honda civic has become a hot topic for car fans in Pakistan, when car will launch? Finally it launch; question arise like it or dislike it. . .
And now 2013 refresh civic? ? ?

One of my friend said “President of Honda said that we are not in competition in Pakistan” 100% correct statement they have no competition!

But if refresh civic technology change such as change in engine or transmission, then our Honda atlas have to think about some early change, and if no change in transmission or engine then WHAT IS TO WORRY ABOUT, they wont change car even after 2 years they will make us (Pakistani buyers) fool for almost 5, 6 six years with the same shape.

He spoke about the milestones attained and hardships faced by Honda Atlas Cars. “We are proud of producing the 200,000th unit in July this year,” he said. Inconsistent government policies and the retarding effect of used cars imports adversely affected the company, Aoki added. “We are not in any competition as we know that our standards are not being touched by any other company,” Aoki said.
The point is not that Atlas should launch refresh CIVIC as soon as it is launched in any other country or not
the point here is WILL Atlas launch refresh CIVIC as soon as it is launched in any other country or not??
The answer is a big NO...
Reason: Refresh CIVIC has been designed for European and American Markets not Asia,, the 9th gen launched here is Asian version and is different from American and European Model,, Honda has launched 9th gen in Asia after two years of its launch in America and we had to suffer at the hands of 8th gen for a long period of more than 6 years,, same is likely to happen with 9th gen,, very delayed refresh/change for Pakistani market..
At present CIVIC 2012 is newest among all locally assembled so enjoy it and no need to worry for early refresh which is simply impossible here in Pak...

There are some fools who want to spoil the fun for ppl that have bought the 9th gen by spreading rumors about the refresh... I think this car is another civic to envy although I personally haven't been able to book it yet due to shortfall in funds but inshallah will book early next year IA.

President of Honda said that we are not in competition in Pakistan as quality and technology is way ahead other locally assembled cars i.e. Toyota and Suzuki....
Ppl talking abt early facelift of civic 9th gen are living in fools Paradise,, it won't be refreshed before 2015 in Pakistan even if its refreshed version is launched abroad... even the corolla won't be refreshed/facelifted before 2014.....

A big lolz from us on quality of 9th gen Civic which has a harder dashboard and lighter doors than our corolla

^ refresh would have been truly worthwhile if Honda had cared to introduce new dream series engine or make the car mechanically advanced.
In this refresh I cant see any major changes except some minor cosmetic enhancements. Though rear looks better with newly designed tail lights and garnish.
Honda City's face lift has been introduced globally and was very much due in Pakistan but Atlas Pakistan didnt introduce it here so those who are waiting to see this refresh in Pakistan should wait for atleast another 2 years.

We improved updating cars but Atlas disimproved in that aspect

I can understand , Initially Altis was a Big flop in 1.8L cateory , 90% of the ppl preferred Civic 1.8 ( Reborn ) , Now Your Own Toyota Corolla ( Axio ) is badly affecting The sales of Brandnew XLi , I know tht really Hurts but thts true so We can understand ..

But You dnt worry dear , Your new upcoming Corolla in 2014 will be much much better in looks than this present 9th Gen Civic , But still u can never match the Driving pleasure of Civic , and btw , Toyota has really designed such a pathetic interior for Your New Corolla , I really feel sorry for You and all the Die hard Corolla fans here

truly speaking i like both corolla and civic but one thing is sure that corolla altis can never beat civic if we talk about advance features,, Indus is well aware of this fact and thats y they have come out of 1.8 L category to 1.6L
Right now civic is the most latest so all votes for CIVIC...

Between Honda City and Corolla GLi,, i am a big fan of Gli..City can never beat Gli
Corolla's Medium Silver is excellent and much better than Honda's Albaster Silver
Similarly Wine Red in Corolla is also excellent and much better than Honda's Red...

One thing that goes in the Civic's favor and which people keep on forgetting.
The Civic is a totally different car - inside out from the City. The Altis is simply an upgraded version of the the exact same GLi/XLi shape with common body parts. For Altis you are paying to get a 1.6 version of XLi/GLi with added features, whereas for the Civic you pay to get a totally different 1.8 car.

5th gen civic 1.5 sohc vtec (stock) did 0-100kph in 8.5 seconds. It was very fast car in its class and from there civic was known for its sporty feeling in subcompact class.

What are we talking about here.....corolla and civic....is that it ?
In our qismat are only corolla and civic to have and discuss ..... I mean, there is a whole world out there with 100s of cars, models, designs, categories but we pakistanis are left with only a few handful of cars to own and discuss on threads like this.....cars nobody else would be proud to have any where else in the world.....just ask anyone if having a new civic in usa or uae is a matter of pride ? Common friends...grow up.

^^Don't know, have mixed feelings but truly speaking, it didn't appeal me at all. May be because I am used to looking at a white 8th gen everyday in the morning.

And oh, these rims are a disaster, they've lifted up the car even more. May be the looks will be slightly impressive if a body kit is added.
