There'll soon be 3 divisions of Civics at showrooms:

1) The Fantastic Reborn 8.th Gen.

2) The split personality duckling, 9th gen, present one.

3) The Modified 9.th Gen.

As far as the 1.st and last, they'll have their clientele.

As far as the middle one is concerned, well.....my condolences!

Honda either stop the production and launch the modified version.

Else, better to leave it for 3 full years before any modification, so as to let the new owners drive it for a while with some little peace of mind.

I'm sticking to snow-white 8.th gen.

Well, I'm sorry for not being specific in my post.

I meant second hand deals of the 8.th gen.

As for the "modified" version, I meant the one expected by Honda a'la the recently modified version abroad.

If any modification of the Pak model is due anytime soon, this will create the mentioned 3 choices for Honda lovers when going to the market. Imho, the middle version owners, means those who've purchased the present one, will suffer most from resale, coz the 8.th gen is still appreciated, and the modified version will have it's own charms.

There were some pics of it here on PG, I just can't remember where they were posted, but it looked good enough, with slight changes at rear and front.

27 October ! This too much. Honda Atlas is selling 800-850 Civics per month since its launch ! You must have received a letter from Honda about the car's delivery. What was the date given in that letter. If they have exceeded that date YOU MUST PURSUE THE CASE LEGALLY !

they said the will handover the car whithin 2 months confirmed for the date of PO(purchase order)

Facelift or modified Civic is a far cry in Pak. Honda Altas is not in a position ( financially )to launch any thing new so we'll have to bear the same Civic for a while.

8th Gen was miles ahead of 7th Gen Civic when it was launched in 2006 so people had their hope ls high this time too but I think many got disappointed when 9th Gen Civic was launched. Facelift version in US and Canada is better in terms of handling, performance and looks as well !

So far the new shape has only been released in USA. and one reason for this is that R&D of Honda cars in USA is based in USA. so any shape change in USA is decided and implemented for the USA model.

is thai market also changing the shape. since i believe we follow thai market??

It was a corporate decision after 9th Gen Civic took a sales blow in 2011. Honda decided to permanently shift the Civic RnD to USA ...

Haha. Thanks. Though i think its futile going after these things. Some change is always introduced every 1.5 years. We cant keep changing cars for every new feature/change introduced. Afterall, a car isnt a cell ph that we change so frequently. So jo ho uss pe Allah ka shukar kerna chahiyae.

They gotta stay in the market. And regain it. At cost or no cost is irrelevant here.

I don't wanna dishearten the owners of the present model. They should ENJOY their beautiful rides.

But, I'm speaking from pure common sense, that Honda Atlas too can't sit impassively and watch low sales figures.

Any such changes will not be announced, rest assured, but may land rather like a thunder from clear skies. Tha is when you expect it the least.

It's about survival instincts bro, what failed all over the world, can't succeed here either.

Looking forward to something positive from Honda, anytime. So far holding tight to my 2012 reborn, seat belts fastened.

....hmmmm.....this debate of change in shape will continue for a while.....so we will have to bear with it.....

....those who say Civic failed all over the world, do they have any reports from countries like Australia, Thailand, Singapore, etc.....on failure of Civic there? I guess the backlash from customers was more in Canada / USA than in other countries where the model was launched after some tweaking......

....In any case....I see no harm in buying current model rather than waiting for Honda Atlas to introduce changes (that may take some time).....one can always upgrade again when the new model is launched eventually.......this is my humble opinion.....

Ah ha! We live in a 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] world country where we get poorly manufacture ?Honda? ?Toyota? nothing else, this is incoming corolla for whom that don?t like current civic and want to wait for something unique.
