Take car to 3S. They will check service history. Ask them to launch claim as Quality defect.
Once launched , you have to contact Atlas plant and persuade them.
It takes sometime but as per my experience, Atlas is accepting the quality claim
Please note Steering Rack issue is not limited to 2018 only but its the same for all cards 2016-2019.However it can arise for cars having done 2000kms while in others it could come up after 100ks.Still in some lucky ones it may not arise at all.Remember its under 3yrs warranty for all models.
And what is that simple solution. Good for civic owners whose cars are no lobger covered by warranty
People have used grease and have been able to use it as interim solution

Gather other Civic X owners and stage a protest outside Honda Factory in Manga Mandi, Lahore. Do invite Press for coverage and share the pictures / videos on Social Media.
Might force them to recall the part!
I fully agree with a demonstration from Consumers.BTW this problem is not only in 2018 model but is for all models.It is also strange that it surfaces at different mileages.I had it in the first 2000kms while in other cases it came up at varied intervals and mileages.
I dont know but people have been able to address this

I have a 2018 civic driven 42k and maintained by Honda. I have the steering problem now with some noise. I have been told that its not a problem and i can drive car as is, but if i want to get it changed i have to fork out 200k. Has anyone managed to get it changed under warranty even after 2 years ?

Launch Quality defect claim . They will accept for steering rack but fir AC, you may need to pursue as it is not easy.
After acceptance as Quakity claim, pursue directly to Honda plant. Usually it takes 4 months for them to acknowledge it .

I am having Civic 2018, issue what i am facing is that Steering gets Stuck a bit while coming back when i turn on right side while its fine when i turn it on left hand side. There are some time voice when i turned fully on right hand side not always

Get greasing done. It would work fine.
It is steering rack issue.

If they don't accept, then get it greased
