You should have posted it on civic x forum and get support from experts Honda will for sure bear the expense if car is maintained and under warranty you have to fight for your right.

Not every car has problems some units are faulty and create many issues of heat up steering rack fuel pump battery etc etc its up to qismat ohh i forgot the famous ac fault
Grande is free from any issue
Alhumdullilah i own both of them
I have faced ac sterring rack fuel pump issues changed 3 set of batteries but still after these expense the drive is still better then floating grande

Overheating on track is very different to overheating in street conditions. And yes, the CIVIC TYPE R overheats, which has a different engine (2.0L turbo, 300 hp) compared to the ones offered here (1.8NA, 1.5T). I can assure you, even your beloved grande will overheat on track after 2-3 hot laps. I've lived in the US and have went to track days so I know what I'm talking about. Once again, you are providing utterly useless evidence to support your claim. You should really increase your knowledge of cars and how they work- especially what track days mean- and then you can come and try to (mis)guide others.

According to some intelligent individuals, using a car on track with hard cornering, using heel toe shifts and redlining the shit out of the engine on the hot Willow springs track is the same as going to the Office or going to Lahore from ISB with cruise set on 120. Even the hard core racecars overheat on track days with much bigger cooling systems, it's outrageous that people can compare the two situations. A one-off overheating case doesn't mean a car has failed or everyone should avoid it or Atlas should pack their bags up but yes, I do agree people have faced the steering rack and AC evaporator coil issue. We should call a spade a spade.

My cousin faced overheating issue in his 2018 Civic X few months back, car stalled. according to him there was no sign of overheating or check-light in cluster. The dipstick melted down, He had to replaced the the head assembly, sold it right after that and went for a well maintained rebirth.

We own a Reborn, what an excellent machine it is. Never ever faced overheating issue, multiple fully loaded trips to norths and its paint and build quality is excellent, not a spot of rust even after 10 years. I believe now with everything Honda specailly Atlas quality went down significantly.

Mine is not overheating but reducing collant level car hardly runs 50 km daily no leakage nothing but dont know where collant is going honda was unable to solve the issue

Have you checked the overflow/excess coolant tank located beside the radiator. You have to bend over, around the front plastic/metal located on top to see it, and it is where excess coolant goes. Often, these modern cars have a self-leveling coolant level and will redirect any excess coolant to this reservoir.

In all honesty Honda is not the company it used to be! They became too successful and complacent. Things started going downhill for them from that point.

The new civic was a complete new design from the ground up and one of Honda's biggest investments. However, a new vehicle may have some issues which only pop-up later and are then rectified.

Only the consumer facing the issue feels the pain, and everyone else just talks about it.

As consumers we have to learn our rights and how to fight for them. Pakwheels is a good forum for spreading awareness but not hear-say.

I hope the issue gets resolved for any customer facing any issue. But we need to stick together as consumers and fight for our right.

Very weird! Too many Civic X around me and ive never heard em overheating. They do have plethora of problems though. It could very well be a cooling fan issue and i'll repeat again. Please stop messing up with electronics of these CAN enabled cars. This means no aftermarket bullshit HIDs & LEDs. It will also help u retain your warranty.

Whether or not we try to generalize this overheating problem with current generation Civic, we should better guide OP on what to do next because done is done. And he has also told that whatever was rectified and replaced from Honda dealership, was not covered in the warranty. So it's better to get out of this misconception of keeping this so called 'warranty' intact.

Now, it has to be ensured that this overheating problem doesn't happen again. For this all parts of the cooling system must be checked from a good workshop other than 3S. Fan, radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, hoses, water pump, anti freeze, everything. And scanning is definitely also required.

Warranty is the assurity of purchase.. It covers only purchase and then honda dealerships disappear under the load of money.. They can only see coming money after selling it. Nothing is free. Sad reality.

In most Japanese engines the heat guage is telling you the water temp and once you have a leak in system water is gone so no indication that your engine heating up.

Cars with temp Guage only indication you might get. Is guage sometimes jumps up and down. Experienced this few times but with old Toyota A series engine and they somehow survived.

I rem a friend bought Honda civic while checking water he forgot to put the cap back on. After 15 km engine over heated seized. He got it all rebuilt but it was never the same.

A series engines are tough because their block is made of cast iron rather than aluminum
