Another experience and another time this car has earned respect amongst the big boys. Everytime I decide to sell it this car outperforms Alhamdolilla.
Have returned from a trip from Lahore-Naran-Fairy Medows-Hunza-Passu and back on my 7th gen Exi Manual with 4 Adults on board and luggage including gas stove, 19L water can and bags.
Did 160-170kmph on Motorway as did some friendly runs with cousin's Gli AT on motorway. I was happy to see a 12 year old car giving Gli AT big gaps. Rest of the trip maintained 120-130kmph on motorway with AC 100% on. Mileage on motorway came as 14kmpl.
The toughest climb was to Eagle's Nest Hunza. I was hesitant to take my car there at first but it didnt disappoint me and kept on climbing. I was happy.
Babusar top climb was done in 2nd gear most of the times and 1st gear near the top. No heatups no issues.
The issues I found on this trip which are not noticeable while driving in Lahore:
1) There was a loud continous boom after 130kmph on motorway; turns out the silencer muffler is done.
2) Brakes need changing. They have started to squeak after this trip.
3) clutch cylinder was annoying me on the moutains while shifting gears. Had to press clutch all the way down with force to change gear otherwise the gear would stick. An Annoying thing on the climbs especially.
