I have this car with me since day 0. We are the first owners. The car itself is not giving any issues, its just that due to being old, now it requires maintenance, e.g
clutch/pressure plates now require changing along with bearing (i guess), Clutch does not slips at all but there is vibration in clutch pedal and car shudders when taking off from first gear.
Fuel filter requires change
driver side door lock some times do not work with remote so have to do it with key
shock mounts need changes (i hope shocks will work otherwise more money),
Car sways a little at high speeds so i guess there is play in tie rod ends in other words, overall hissay ka kam honey wala hai.
seepage from oil sump seals
seepage from gearbox seals (no dropping of oil though)
In past two years, apart from regular maintenance (such as engine oil/brakes etc) i have been spending on car for maintenance e.g TDC sensor went bad, changed bushings, front engine mount (paid 5k for mount from 3s), driver side power window switch and harness (paid 5k for harness from 3s), kabli compressor, belts changes, PSP rebuild, new clutch master cylinder kit, new coolant with complete radiator service done through 3s, regular brake servicing and gear oil changes etc etc
Its 140k on odo and i am not sure about reliability as any time some sensor or some mechanical issue may pop up because most things are near end of their life.
What do you guys think, what estimated amount of money this car takes per year is considered normal? so that i can keep it for next 5 years perhaps?
