I have watched your review on YouTube. Basically it mostly covered the issues that one would face with this car. I wanted to ask if the issues you have mentioned are specific to civic reborn or any other car would also face some of these if not all of these issues ?

Recently I got changed all 4 shock absorbers plus a complete suspension overhauling from the dealer. They offered 6 months warranty on the parts.

Most cars face them, btw if you are looking to buy one I am selling mine as I am leaving the country soon. If in KHI I am happy to sell it to you, very meticulously kept black 2008 automatic reborn.

My car is producing jerk and delayed shifting on cold start…diagnosed as p746 code ..there was wiring short ..repaired it but still jerk on cold start..any soluton

Try cleaning the EGR Valve. I faced similar issue and was resolved by cleaning the EGR. It is a pretty simple process. You can check on YouTube.

Hi,
Recently purchase a 2009 reborn. Car has 56k on the odometer and the car condition shows it as well. Yesterday I heard very light knocking sound when slowly going up a ramp and reversing. I checked by pulling the handbrake and a little tap on the accelerator and the sound was there. But then when I put the car into park, and pushed the acc pedal the sound was gone.
What could be the issue?

acceleration, the throttle slows the rate at which your vehicle increases in speed. It does not affect acceleration from very high or very low speeds, confining its impact to the middle range.

Kuch time pehly serpentine belt chohy(mouse) ne kat di thi or uska Kuch wires main pully mai phansi gey jiski wajha se oil leak huny Laga , seal change Karwa di magr belt nhi change ki thi , phr ek dost ne bhut kharai gari ko bhut zada RPM pe chk kiya or belt toot gei .. ab Kuch log keh rhy hain iski timing out hugei hai , belt change Karke timing set Karwani parygi , or valve bhi toot gey hungy .. kindly mujhy batiye mujhy kiya Karna chaye

Reborn R18 has timing chain not belt.
That belt is for alternator,power steering etc. Just change the belt and don't drive the car without belt as without the belt the water pump won't work and it will heat up plus alternator won't work which would drain ur battery. Get it towed to mechanic place or bring the mechanic to ur place along with belt and tools.

Stick to 5W-30 as recommended by Honda. 20W-50 is a very thick oil and not really recommended for these engines.

Hi,

I recently bought 2012 manual civic. Car reduced oil (almost 0.5 litre) after 2700 Km. I used Havoline 10W-30.

There are no apparent leakages. I have read about PCV and VTEC solenoid problems being the reason of engine oil burning up.

So can anyone suggest any good mechanic in Rawalpindi/Islamabad?
I visited one mechanic and he said that piston rings are weak (even though there is no smoke in exhaust).

Any help would be appreciated in this regard.

Hello, I have a 2010 model Civic (Manual) which I planned to sale a few months ago (I changed my mind later though). The thing is, my vehicle got inspected by Pakwheels, and the person (from inspection service) told me that the car has "Blow by". I was confused because the car emits no smoke, has no drop in power / performance, 10 Km/l avg consistently in city with AC (which is great for this vehicle), and makes no abnormal noise etc. The car indeed blows out ALOT of air from the Engine's Oil Cap and Dip Stick at idle. (Cold Start - Warming Up). I wasn't able to test at normal operating temperature though because the Oil cap was TOO TIGHT for some reason. I am planning to get the problem inspected in the coming week, but before that - can anyone suggest a great and reliable workshop in ISB/RWP while also giving me an insight into possible issues involved with the behaviour, and what should I look for.
