Its been quite long since i didn't had time to update my PW fellows. here we go then

Pre check before startup

Found out issues with dizzy borrowed same distributor for testing purpose and found still not firing up

Sparks good, fuel is here, injectors were cleaned few weeks back, timing was perfect still won't respond.

Took hondata from friend and tested it using debug error codes .. nothing there but still won't fire

Thought to check compression and upto my surprise it was a disaster

Unexpected low compression in cylinder 3 and 4, and no compression at cylinder 1 and 2

thought to again rip off the head and check

It looks like it needs overhauling .... at this stage i will leave it for experts fellows here to either change the route to put vtech Zc head / po8 and go to the vtech road map.

Or to restore the head and block as it is and run the vehicle

For overhaul, arranging parts is going to be tough, especially for this motor.
@mzeeshan sir, what is the condition of the bottom end? Vtec would be more fun.

Bottom end section i didn't dismentaled yet ..... weather is making me more lazy then usual

Although i would rather prefer to restore and keep everything same or p08 i have to source out from karachi ship it over to Doha and then buy again a p08 mls gasket.

Since i have a complete gasket kit for D16a9 dohc ... bottom section can be utilized

Still waiting for your suggestions guys.

tappet cover 10k
dizzy 15k
shipment 25k

bottom end section works include
new bearing 10k
thrust bearing 5k
polish of cylinder head / honning of cylinder head 24k
oil pump 20k
arp head studs 32k

clutch and pressure plates are new 6 puck with faced flywheel

Isn't it easy to source a good-condition engine in scrapyards there?

Found discrepency in head valves leaking .... head is handed over to machine shop for valve works and replacement of stem seal. block is still in good nick while bore size ring sets and bearings will be inspected and checked.

Lets wait for next week what is the outcome ... since waiting for dismental block and head to arrive back did some cleaning stuff for removed parts.
