Any suggestion for civic 9th gen Engine Oil? Mileage is around 70K.
Also what is the optimal fuel average of civic. Mine is between 9 to 10.

Bro I have just switched to below Oil and I got fabulous results
Havoline® Pro DS™ Fully Synthetic LE SAE 5W-40

This is imported Oil and does meet ILSAC GF 5 Standards.......

Previously I was using Total 5w-30 Future Series Fully synthetic but I found very good results of Havoline.

Mileage of my car is 68000........ Mine car average is 11-12 in city and 14-15 on Highway/Motorway....

Thanks man. I use to have that mileage, but then things changed.
I am going to check "Entertainment on Wheels" shop near shokat Khanam.
He imports oil from abroad. I've heard high recommendation of Engine oils he import.

If you are going for that Stuff then do consider AMISOL 5w-30. It's grate Oil as compared to others. Else I will strongly recommend get the original Oil from reputed shop............ Makki Oil Store is best and authentic guaranteed Oil.

i have been makki user for quite long. But i don't think their standard is same as were before. I've heard few bad experiences including mine.

hi usman i have also 9th gen civic and milage is 68k i am using honda geniun 5w-30 oil which is really best and suitale for honda engine my car is given 12.7 milage with original oil and air filter

sound of the engine is a bit louder like u hear a clanking sound if tappets are loose.

if everything is ok no need to mess with them. tappet clearence values for R18Z1 cold engine are between 0.18-0.22 mm for intake valves and 0.23-0.27 mm for exhaust valves.

get tappets adjusted either from Honda or an able mechanic. its a task that requires expertise.

Hi thanks for the updates.
I tried "TOTACHI" 5W30. Car pick-up speed seems to be much improved. I am hoping an improvement in the mileage as well. I'll update it soon.
I use petrol from Total pump peco rd near Akbar chowk.
