I have checked it with both methods a lot of times and in my case every single time, the car display and the old method (of calculating kms/total liters) it has always been exact same even upto the precision of ".1"

Also you need to keep in mind that there is a slight variation in autostop of pump every time. Hope you check it with full upto the top after auto stop. That is a slightly more fool proof method for exact points. (Though upto the top fill is not recommended)

Then i think i sud go for claiming warranty of fuel sensors of my car. Never been same as you mentioned even one of my neighbours and my brother in law sud also go to Honda for same reason.

Im getting 11.6KM in city wid full ac and 15km on long route with max 110 to 120 speed.
Now the point is how do u measure the average? One thing i know is when the default calculator is showing 11.9 actually the average is somewhere 11.4 km
What I do is to get my tank fillled from one pump and reset trip A after one week I go to the same pump and get my tank filled again at same level devide no of kms on no. of litters simple and that the best accurate way to get the average.

I wonder why do people lie about average or fuel economy I can challenge no one can get 14 in city wid a 1800 cc civic COME ON ye mehraan efi nai hy... ohhh bhai kia window khool k band engine say gari chalatay ho?

My 9th Gen gave 17.3 km/l in the city with moderate traffic and AC on i.e. from Mali cantt to clifton (22km Approx). What can i say... the 9th gen is pretty fuel efficient if you drive with soft acceleration and follow the imid guide

Btw my wife's 2014 city auto transmission gives 9.3 km/l only...

On a serious note: ask them, quote them that some people have it same and share the answer you get. Lets see if they themselves know it or not. I had a City AT 2010 before Civic and it used to have a variation of 0.5-1 kmpl in the car display and old school fool proof method of calculation

You talk about 17, i can show you 99 kmpl on my iMid display. Take the car to 150 km/h on a highway, leave the accelerator pedal trip the meter while ure doing that and put the car in neutral till it stops itself finally slowing down. Trust me the figures that way will be massive. Try it when you get a safe chance. Will be fun showing it to Prius and Mehran owners.

No bro its the top of the line version with Prosmatic Transmission the mileage was in-fact 18 km/l but had to stop at long red signal near hotel faran.

aoa munawar bhai ... prosmatec is more fuel efficient then manual Civic but people quoting 17 or 18 kpl is not possible in a normal drive ....

Honda's official figures for 2012 Civic is 16.5 kpl in ideal conditions. Real life figures are always less then the OEM's ratings.

Honda has updated transmission world wide in Civic replacing 5 speed transmission with a seven step CVT which is power fuel efficient and 2 hp more powerful ... producing 143 hp and 175 NM of torque but Pak won't see it.

Yar khuda ka khoof kuro ye hybrid car nai hy jo 17km average day....

Lets test the fuel economy with tank filled wirh super fuel not high octane and turn on econ mode lets come back say after 100 to 150 km with that tank and put imid pics.

When i started that Lahore-Islamabad journey, It was much above 16 kmpl, figures dropped after salt range. Here is a picture from the same trip as the one i posted above for the initial part of journey

I am getting 11.5 to 11.9 KM/Ltr in City and 16 on motor way at 110-120 KM/Hr maximum Speed with AC with normal fuel not hi octane and with econ mode on. This 12.1 is actually 11.7 or 11.8 if you manually calculate average.

I would say an average of 11-12 for a 1.8 car with standard engine (no hybrid etc) is pretty good enough. Keeping in mind there is no fear on your head about replacing batteries as in hybrid, which has to happen sooner or later and no fear of buying expensive spares if anything such as ecu and other high end technical parts which are also not readily available apart from the expense. Plus the advantage of a brand new car and warranty stuff

No such battery replacement.Certain prius'es in Us used as taxis are driven 500k kms without replacement

This is not at all a good decision to buy a hybrid car just because it gives 18KM/litr oh come on sari life aik he car tou nahi rakhni why to pay more when you have latest brand new cars available in much cheaper rates. I wud say its a bad decision to invest in a hybrid car.

Exactly this is a lie send us clear picture after using quarter of a fuel the meter goes to 17 just after refuelling bro....i gave ubthe conditions to show average before putting the picture i must say this picture is edited cant say anything without looking at the no of km run on the same tank. So please come up wid atleast running 120km..... Fastikhan
