My car is 1800kms on the oddo.

Observations of my use of this car in last 3 weeks - this included two trips to Islamabad from Lahore:

Worst avg in local - 11Km/l
Best avg in local - 14.6Km/l
Motorway with cruise on 130 - 13.8 to 14Km/l
Motorway with cruise on 120 - 15.3km/l
GT Road lhr to isb - 17.4km/p

My feedback about IMID's displayed avg: It is surprisingly VERY precise!

Tyres in my 9th Gen are Continental CC5 - 205/65/R15. Of-course its a Prosmatic.

Yes it is surprisingly very precise. Whever i checked it with kms/ltrs manual calculation it is never different. Although a lot of people here have been disagreeing to this thing. As i earlier said in this thread it is precise

8 or so in local. I don't drive much so maybe its not so accurate. Never calculated. Its what the i-mid is showing. Currently its on 8.1. Car is driven 4800 in the past 7 months. Stock tyres

I wonder why us there so much contradiction in the statement about I mid fuel consumption from civic owners.

Some of them say it's very precise.

Many says it's not accurate.

Mine is driven 1400km in 4 months the best average i have seen is 8.6km/l on the iMID. Some say it gets better after the first oil change, lets see.

Yes brother, the contradiction is there. I hope people do trip the meter each time they fill and not that they check average but dont trip at every fill. In that case it will be different. For e.g its 9.6 in first tank u dont trip the meter and iMid shows 9.4, now if you had not reset trip again, next tank was actually 9.2 so the iMid showing 9.4 (ave of 9.6 & 9.2) is not at fault. Also tank filled at auto stop is slightly different process than even filling up to top till it almost overflows even after the autostop. That will bring variation too in manual calculation. I had a City AT 2010 previously and it wasn't accurate but the Civic is. This needs to be asked by a 3S service manager and since i have no complains with my average display accuracy, our friends here who don't have this accuracy must complain and share the answer of Honda rep with us please OR re check manual calculation methods first maybe and if doesn't work then ask Honda

I didnt find the imid accurate. There is minimum difference of 2km/L
Yes i reset it every time i refill to calculate the average.

Ouch.... Thats a first one. Never heard this big a variation ever, 2 km? Heard people complaining variation of upto approx half a km or so but you seriously need to get your car checked to honda sir

Does all this mean iMid average system has a variation in quality? Some have accurate some have slight variation and some have massive variation? A system is a system it should have the same working... Confused

The "Reset trip meter" option which is a default must be "off" in the settings too because that way its not a full tank that automatically resets trip meter but even if you get partial tank filled with fuel it resets the trip meter. Trip resets must be manually done with every full tank

Trip meter calculation varies because of the fuel quality and also the quantity ie calibration. Mine is set to auto reset as I not always full the tank but want to reset the meter.
