how do you compare the interior quality of your new corolla gli with your 9th gen civic?
I kept 2012 Altis for 2.5yrs which i have just sold for an upgrade. I was planning on going for the new altis grande, but i simply cannot bear with the mental torture of corolla theft. So I am going for the civic vti oriel pros, InshAllah in gun-metal gray. My only concern is the interior quality of the civic. How do you compare it with the new corolla? I checked out the grande, but i didn't feel any improvement in the quality of plastics compared to the 10th gen.

The interior quality is equally good
Corolla has a soft padded dashboard ( upper part ) and door trims ( upper soft part ) civics dash is hard but finish Is great and I really like it
Corollas interior color combination is difficult to maintain as 85 % is black but looks and feels great
Civic is easy to maintain beige color on most of the parts esp on the door sills / foot board and leg room area
Corollas interior is more scratch prone !
Quality wise both look nice and are equally good in quality both have some negative points
Civics arm rest ( black matt wrapped / power windows panel ) is really pathetic and cheap quality
Feels really nice and good initially
And even if u use it extremely carefully still it starts to peel off after 6 to 8 months
But civic is more comfortable
Seats are really nice and much better than corolla
I mid display looks really nice and impressive
Features wise too top of the line civic is simply great
However corolla is more roomier and when you drive the car the dashboard looks and feels premium
It's a tough decision
But still I would say go for civic you will just love the car
If you can live with quite ordinary and simple shape n exterior of civic

How's the touch response ?
Is it android based ?

The New Navi and the blue Linning Light looks good. Navi is faster only when started and after that ahaaaa..... i switched on the front cam and i was unable to close it,,,, eventually i have to switch off the whole Navi and then restarted.... its touch is good... but it needs alot of improvment... damn slow

I went to their showroom last saturday... asked them for availablity and then asked me to give some cash in advance and i said hahahahah lawl!!! u have hell of cars in stock, why do i give u advance....

On monday got the bank draft, called the guy to get the car ready, we are comming and when we went car and half of the documents were ready!!!

Bro i dont have new corolla but have seen few in showrooms..... Civic Interior is always much better than of corolla..... i am running my 9th gen civic from last 2 years approx... only interior problem i have is that black plastic on Power Windows button have peeled off!!!

In between new corolla and new civic i will suggest you go for new corolla, if you want to resale it after year or two.... we are not concerned about re-sale, cause we wont be selling it for atleast 7-8 years....

The only thing which is pulling me towards the Grande is the 7-Speed CVT-i with paddle shifters, and quite a few factors are pushing me away from the Grande. namely, no passenger side airbag, no immobilizer and no climate control.
In terms of shape, both of the cars look remarkably good compared to their predecessors.
My Altis gave me quite a lot of sleepless nights because of it being prone to theft, i used to park my other cars behind the altis so as to barricade it

Sir the paddle shifters are completely, I mean UTTERLY useless, because even though you go up and down the gears, those are not really gears and you don't feel a single darn thing. Its like those are completely lifeless. You just see the rpm go up or down. Its boring as it can be. In civic, you don't get the triptronic, but atleast you get that downshift jerk and also the upshift feel on full throttle. To me, that is waay waay more fun than those lifeless +/- buttons.
+/- buttons are always fun when its a proper shifting tranny like in a RX-8

While the features and interface itself is nice, the unit's processing and/or GPU have very limited capability.

The bootup time is also quite long. Try putting the car into reverse gear as soon as you turn on the ignition and observe that it takes ages to show the rear cam feed on the screen.

I think the android system in toyota is much better than the one atlas is offering

I can't offer an opinion on that since I haven't used the old system in Civic.

I have used the older nav on City (new City nav unit comes with different map interface) and that one is far better with regards to responsiveness in menus and rear cam feed.

I got it for 26K. Wanted original one but Honda was asking 72K with adjustment of old panel (they said its used now) and 78K without old panel adjustment. The fitting of RockMars is on original wiring grips

How about Bila Ganj? Im sure some one must be having them as these accessories are available as after market also, or maybe places like low end shops having second hand lights and clips etc... I am thinking i should try an ordinary screw. There must be some size that fits. Will share if something works
