Hi-octane VS Premium: i think in the longer run its not suitable for our local cars, the best scenario at most would be mixing after every 3rd or 4th tank and that too only 40-60 (40 being hi-octane, thats what i do)
Also its not available everywhere you go and not all the time as well. So even ignoring the compression rules etc, a car habitual of regularly using hi-octane with full tanks will severely get mis-tuned when you start filling it with regular gasoline later. It would be like the engine addicted to a good quality appetite and then giving it relatively bad one due to un-availaibility. Mixing after a few tanks will keep it optimum without addicting it and also would be harmless in case you shift to regular gasoline altogether. Nothing much to lose
