i want to share part of my knowledge on the topic with respectfull members of pakwheels , its not a war at all, i hope u people too will share ur valuable informations with me and all pakwheels members.thank
Introduction of HONDA: Honda is fifth largest automobile manufacturer in the world as well as the largest engine maker in the world producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines per year. Currently, Honda is the second largest manufacturer in Japan behind Toyota and ahead of Nissan. Taking Honda’s story as an archetype of the smaller manufacturer entering a new market already occupied by highly dominant competitors, the story of their market entry, and their subsequent huge success in the US and around the world, has been the subject of some academic controversy. Competing explanations have been advanced to explain Honda’s strategy and the reasons for their success.
The most recent school of thought on Honda’s strategy was put forward by Gary Hamel and C. K. Prahalad in 1989. Creating the concept of core competencies with Honda as an example, they argued that Honda’s success was due to its focus on leadership in the technology of internal combustion engines. For example, the high power-to-weight ratio engines.
HONDA in Aircrafts: Honda has also pioneered new technology in its HA-420 HondaJet that allows new levels of reduced drag, increased aerodynamics and fuel efficiency thus reducing operating costs.
HONDA in Robotics: Honda's robot ASIMO (see below) as an R&D project brings together expertise to create a robot that walks, dances and navigates steps. ASIMO is the part of Honda's Research & Development robotics program. It is the eleventh in a line of successive builds starting in 1986 with Honda E0. It is the world's only humanoid robot able to ascend and descend stairs independently.[10]

Although a relatively small manufacturer compared to the other Japanese automakers, Honda is the largest engine maker in the world. Honda has a number of firsts in many categories, including the first engine to meet the 1970 US Clean Air Act (1975 CVCC), the first luxury Japanese car (1987 Legend) and motorcycle (2006 Gold Wing bikes) equipped with an airbag, as well as the first mid-size pickup truck with independent rear suspension (2006 Ridgeline).
Its first entrance into the pickup segment, the lightduty Ridgeline, won Truck of the Year from Motor Trend magazine in 2006 (also in 2006, the redesigned Civic won Car of the Year from the magazine, giving Honda a rare double win of Motor Trend honors).

ENGINES:
SOME RENOWNED FACTS:
• Honda Civic 's engine is more smother and noise less (even the older version) as compared with Toyota corolla's engine.
• Honda civics engine do have more HP (horse power) with same engine capacity (CC) in comparative with Toyota corolla's engine.
For example : 1800 cc engine of Toyota Corolla 2008produces 126HP
1800 cc engine of Honda Civic 2008 produces 140 HP
1600 cc engines of Toyota Corolla 95 produces 105 HP
1600 cc engines of Honda Civic 95 produces 125 HP.
Therefore gives more top speed in comparative with Toyota corolla.
Honda's engines have higher compression ratios than of Toyota's engines Hence having more HP.
Why Corolla is known as ROLLA and Civic as Sporty/Domestic car
About Engines: Honda's engines are renowned for their low emission, high performance with long lasting life cycle due to their wide sweeping experience in engine making. On the other hand Toyota avoids complications in their cars (and gives reason that Toyota uses thoroughly tested technologies) that provides ease to the technicians (hence neglecting performance issues), therefore technicians always prefer Toyota on Honda .Now a days Toyota is using worst quality of engine parts (Specially in their diesel engines i.e. Thailand made) being a bench mark in automobile industry therefore every 2nd corolla 2.0D (the latest model) ends up at 50,000 Km only. There is no doubt that Toyota corolla is the "best selling car in the world", not "best car of the world", Toyota Corolla never got CAR OF THE YEAR JAPAN " its home land award and don't forget it that two or three years ago Toyota has experienced quality problems and was reprimanded by the government in Japan for its recall practices. As Toyota wants to remain largest Automobile manufacturer in the world therefore Toyota want to improve "no. of vehicles produced per year" not "quality".
General: Honda Civic is for citizens (as Civic means "of civil or related to civil") not for off-road riding like that of Toyota Corolla it’s the only reason why Pakistan Armed Forces uses Corolla not Civic. Honda always introduces most sporty and stunning design (in comparative to Toyota) that gives a touch of Class, rather than just copying the convention & making models with less complication as Toyota do.
Honda vehicles usually appeal to the younger crowd since they can be easily customized. Also, after-market parts are readily available for Honda vehicles. Honda is known for producing sporty vehicles such as the
Honda Integra Type R or the Honda S2000 (one of the worlds best handling sports car) hence the reason it appeals to the younger crowd. These vehicles have a tendency to put out a lot more horsepower compared to similar classed Toyota vehicles. For example, the 2002 Honda Integra Type R puts out 220HP (stock) whereas the 2002 Toyota Celica GTS puts out 190 HP.
Other than that Toyota use to change its model after 7-8 years to reduce the research & designing cost (it clearly shows that Toyota is using "Sell as along as possible" strategy).
Honda has a tremendous record of reliability with cars that have engines seemingly able to run forever. Many car drivers and car dealers see Honda as a car synonymous with reliability, both in city and highway driving.
Honda Civic is recognized in the World and in Pakistan too among cars of its class for its enormous road grip, on the other hand every 2nd Toyota Corolla owner complains that "IT FLIPS" when ever they applied break at high speed.
I think the Honda is a drivers car and the Toyota is a riders car
