White Smoke on Acceleration ONLY (Not at Idle)
This is the most critical issue right now.
White smoke usually means:
Coolant is burning → Typically from head gasket, cracked head, or intake manifold
But if it's only on acceleration, and not thick or continuous, there are other possible causes:
Possible (Less Serious) Causes:
Condensation in exhaust (usually early morning or cold starts — not common in hot Pakistani weather)
Old engine oil burning off if engine had carbon/oil deposits
Residue in the exhaust system/catalytic converter
Overfilled engine oil (check dipstick — oil level should be between Min & Max)
️ More Serious Possible Causes:
Worn valve seals or piston rings: After 200,000 km this is quite possible
This causes oil to leak into the combustion chamber under load (acceleration) and burn → thin white or blue-ish smoke
Head gasket leak (minor): May cause coolant to burn, but if no overheating and coolant level is stable, it's not likely right now.
Testing To Confirm:
Check engine oil: Is it milky? (Could indicate coolant mixing = head gasket)
Check coolant level: If it's reducing, even slowly = possible leak
Smell the smoke:
If it smells sweet, it's coolant
If it smells burnt/oily, it's oil
If it smells like raw fuel, it's running rich or incomplete combustion
Based on What You Described:
Thin white smoke on acceleration only
No overheating
No coolant loss
Tappets adjusted
No error codes
Weather is hot/humid
