Because the greedy corporations never bothered to make everything inhouse. So major components are imported which jacks the price right up. If engines and suspensions were made in PK, I bet you this civic right now would cost around 17-19 lacs, and the USD currency would have no effect on price.. allowing you to possibly export to other countries.
