Lol. Suzuki charges 5000 extra for a Mehran so this should be at least priced at 15,000-20,000 but since this is a 35lac hybrid, they need to charge that much <.<

Mehran is a friggin mehran yaar! This is no mehran! The least they could do is add a "little" respect to it by NOT charging less for the solid colors!

well, name a single car in Pakistan that isnt overpriced. The fair price of a mehran shud be 4 lakh, city 10 lakh, civic 15 lakh, xli 10-11 lakh n this crz may be 18 or 20 lakh. but then, look at the rates of inflation and dollar rate. in not supporting its high price, im just saying its as bad as any other car, so this factor shud not really count. there was a time u cud buy a brand new honda accord or camry for 24 lakhs and today the price is more then 4 times that! having said that, i still believe honda shud have introduced smaller cars instead. ppl are rushing towards small jdm cars n that is the niche that local manufacturers shud enter now...

right i do realize the fact that its a bit expensive than what was expected.

saw this car yesterday night in centaurus islamabad. sat in it. its a proper boys car.

my opinion:

Q:For people who say whats the point of 2 door car which has a family of four in pakistan.

Answer: Sir this car has 4 seats. 2 my size lads could fit at the back very very easily. my height is 5.9 and i am average built.
(ofcourse does not have the typical COROLLA leg space )

Q: whats the point of having 2 door car in pakistan. has no market?

Answer: Kind sir, this car is an absolute gem to use inside city. its compact yet powerful and has all the gadgets and comforst s-class has to offer in this size. (plus if you use a car like this in islamabad, you get parking easily which will be a major factor in whole pakistan because of the fact that in five years almost every soul will own a car in country and you will whine for parking ) and this is the answer to the world to keep a compact car.

Q: its a poor shaped car ?
answer: CAR OF THE YEAR IN JAPAN . yes japan. they just dont give away car of the year award. you know the rest

Q:why is it so overpriced?
Answer: out rupee is turning from **** to slimy goo of an 80 year old man who has a bad stomach. WHY am i saying this?

in the uk this car cost you around 22K Pound Sterling which is approx 36 lakh rupees. so its a fair deal.

Last but not least. the timing of HONDA PAKISTAN IS ABSOLUTELY CRAP.
why? because this country (at the moment) need hatchbacks which could do all. CR-Z is a fabulous fabulous car. but the timing could not be worse.

as for me:

i think i will buy this car definitely inshallah in around 6 months or so, sell of my 1.5 city prosmatec. i would love to drive it around. this cars is an absolute treat for a 23 year old like me. and would love to just have my mates and my grilfriend with me in this car and cruise around. :)))

ur city wud definitely sell for almost wat u have paid for it
but once u buy CRZ ull have to be very patient bcoz in resale its gonna lose around 4-5 lacs within a year

I dont know how these companies roll.The basic intention in a business is to earn profit and that aswell in infinite figures lol.CRZ is a typical mummy daddy car for rich spoiled brats who just get what they want (courtesy DAD's bank account).COrolla/city are great cars and are good profit generators(still overpriced).How can Honda think of launching a car its know for sure wont sell in gr8 numbers at all(i cant see any use in this launch).I think there are too many mummy daddy ppl in Honda's management.

Why CRZ will fail

The price of-course .You get crz for 19000(20 million pkr @ 110 rs) dollars in usa

Maintenance of Hybrid cars is expensive. QUalified mechanics are scarce

CRZ is ranked #24th in affordable small cars ( so called the mummy daddy's choice)

I think if the car was launched in 2-2.1 mill mark it could attract a decent amount of sales but at this price it is better to import a JDM CRZ..

Why aren't they launching a Jazz/Fit Hybrid instead of this? It's got a higher MPG rating than the Prius. It's 1.3L so lesser duty. It's got four doors. It's a small hatchback, so well suited for pakistani traffic. But nooo, they decide to launch an overpriced 2 door 'sport' coupe.

Have you seen the movie 'thank you for smoking?' here's a summary. There r three people who own a cigarette company, a gun company and an alcoholic beverages company respectively. They've a monopoly in the market and have judges/politicians in their pockets and it's impossible to sue any one of them or to compete against them. They don't say anything to one another and this way they run their own shows.
Similarly here in Pakistan our local manufacturers have formed the 'big three' in each segment of the market.
Small hatchback: suzuki
Mid sized saloon :Honda city
Family saloon with basic features for village driving : 1300cc corolla
1600 cc family saloon : corolla altis
High tech 1800cc family saloon :civic
Honda, Toyota and suzuki are maintaining their monopolies in this market. The Japanese heads don't care much because they earn a hefty profit despite terrible inferior products compared to the international market (low cost of production, high sales price)
But From time to time these companies are scrutinised by their heads who ask them to offer a wider range... They say 'all right, we will import cars made in Japan then'.. They know that the prices will be so exuberantly high that there won't be a competition anyway. And it's not like they import a high number of cars and wait for customers to buy them-so they aren't desperate for sales. They're in Japan and imported when a customer wants to buy one. So there's no loss on these cars, but this way they keep their Japanese bosses happy by offering' environmentally friendly ' hybrid cars and top of the line luxury cars (accord camry) which don't sell anyway thanks to the high duty structure.

So this is why we have one car for every market by each of our local manufacturers. And this is the reason for offering hybrids and luxury cars at high prices.
So forget about jazz, local vitz.. You've a swift provided by suzuki for the next ten years
And forget about any family saloon/hatchback from a different company.. The big three won't let any other company last here.

Yep. They can do that, I heard Dewan (distributors of Hyundai in Pakistan) are going to resume the production of Santro or maybe bringing the i10 and probably the commercial truck Shahzore.

you are right but one who spends 3.5 mil on his cars won't have empty pockets would he? and basic knowhow of maintenance of cars can bring down the costs by a large margin, once every 25k visit to dewan for ecu code scanning and mech. checkup would be more than enough, it doesn't need dewan's mechanics to change basic fluid's or filters every time(though an experienced mechanic is still needed for the job to get to those hard to reach places german cars are full of)

Anyone who can let me know if there are any issues with the Li-ion battery pack in Honda CR-Z. Li-ion batteries have an issue with heating up and our hot weather with extreme temperatures aggravates it reducing the battery efficiency and life. Possibly that is why Honda gives warranty for three years only whereas these batteries are manufactured to last the life of the car.
