wonder_guy; bro tel me is d15b better thn local d16,is it true that d15b is better in preformance than altis n reborn.

go with d15b its a very nice engine. i installed it in my 96 vti .
with a/c in city on 55 cylinder 140km in a cylinder
on long its easily gives 195
on petrol in city 14.5km/l
on highway it gaves around 16.5 t0 17. 100 to 120

The local VTI D16 is slightly better but hard to find and expensive, no use in Charade.

Can D15b single vtec be converted to Stage 3 vtec ? Just asking.

Yea. Head change + ecu change.

3 Stage VTEC isnt fancy. Its got this lean burn economy mode in the start ... which is good for fuel average I suppose, but you gotta be really gentle with the throttle.

Plus its on OBD-2 ... better keep it on OBD-1 and single VTEC ... IIRC its easier to tune and chip.

I have installed d15z7 as engine assembly replacement to d15b. Un-Luckily i couldn't get d15b again in rwp/isb market. Now d15z7 is installed with C3 ecu which don't have any check light but engine seems chocked with heavy sound like truck. Poor in performance w.r.t acceleration and fuel economy. As per different opinions of local mechanics and electricians of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, ecu or wiring needs replacement. Among all of them nobody is ready to fix my problem. Can you please suggest me any good electrician in rwp/isb who really know honda dual vtech engines.
