Hi members....I have Honda Freed 2012...my freed shows a check engine error regularly....i got it checked with a computer and it says 'issue with catalytic converter' though catalytic converter is clean...actually whenever i get the system refreshed, the check engine error goes away for 2,3 days and then it comes back...the real issue is whenever the system starts showing this check engine error, my car's pick gets down and its mileage as well....the electrician told me whenever the system shows check engine error, the computer puts the system in safety mode and thats why the car's pick goes down...he gave me 2 options i.e. 1. to change the catalytic converter which is an expensive option...2. to get the error removed from computer permanently....does anyone else faced the same issue? or can anyone guide me what to do in this situation.
