Dear all Honda Life owners,
My honda life mileage is also poor but not as horrible as 7 kml or 9 kml. Its giving me around 12-14 depending upon AC/within city etc.

I think you need to check these from a good mechanic:
Oxygen Sensor
Fuel Injector
Cat converter

and a bit of driving habits

Cat converter Cleaned

Injectors were cleaned

But still no improvement

Hi. I have a Honda Life model 2013, since last once year. Its fuel average is around 18 km/L on A/C (air conditioner) and 22 km/L without A/C. On long drive, I have also experienced 26 km/L. And I think it is superb.

I have Honda Life 2009

I got the Cat converter clean as car fuel average is very low 9 in city and now engine check light com up and Error code is of Cat converter.

What should I do now?

I got the code reset but it come's back after couple of days.

I got the cat converter cleaned and now there is CAT Converter error code check engine light and Mechanic is saying it will not disappear unless you replace CAT Converter

I have Honda life 2009 model and it gives me 23km/litre and 19to20km/litre with AC on.
Just remember drive gently as too much burden on engine consumes more petrol and avoid sudden breakes as it also consumes a lot.
Just press the race pedal gently. I had premio 2002 I learned from there as premio was Giving 7.5/km but after gentle use premio started to give 12/km in city traffic of Rawalpindi and there I applied this technique on Honda life and it gave me positive results.

It's not as much theoretical.... top up your tank and run it to some distance round about 100 or more kms.. then refill the tank with full. Divide the mileage with the litres you fill in the refill. You will got your mileage
