Salam folks. Does the N-One come with a physical key? Or is it just the smart remote? (or is the key inside the remote, if so, how is it taken out?)

Either a button to eject or ull have to manually pull the silver part (key). Key is only to open door in emergency.

Thanks! you have been very helpful in my journey with Honda N-One so far.

• I reset the "service" light based on your suggestions below, that worked (after 5 months
• I had to get the TP sensor reading reset after throttle body cleaning, that thanks to you as well. (I had to go through a 2 weeks of very bad driving experience).

I have a 2013 premium tourer and first thing I want to tell you that I was never able to take the car to "idle stop" it never worked, I tried everything mentioned in this thread. I don't really care about that as its a "nice to have" feature but there are bigger issues that I am facing.

1. Petrol average have been very bad throughout the summer last year, averaging 9.8km/l -- Its a bit better these days of winter, getting 12-12.5km/l -- Which is still not very good. I tried all suggestions in this thread but nothing changed. So I probably need to get that service you suggested, perhaps that will help.
2. Air conditioning is very bad for me, during summers, If engine is hot and I idle for 10-15 minutes, A/C stops working completely, maybe I need to check my coolant ?
3. The overall performance of A/C have been very bad, If the car is filled with 4 people, the persons sitting in the back seat always complain about air conditioning not working well.

Note: My car does not have an original condensor, when I bought it, it had fitted that of some other car, a mechanic said its of Suzuki Swift, so I probably need to get the original one. A/C gas pressure was low so got it refilled, could that be that its a "2 number gas" ?

So both A/C and petrol average are two major issues that I am facing right now and any solutions to those will be very helpful.

I want to add that Turbo version takes 4 litre of gear oil (I had that changed) and 3litre engine oil.

As for the rest.

Eco idle has ceased to work for me as well. I blame it on TP calibration since it was working before the cleaning was done. I am looking into this and will let you know the remedy when mine is also rectified.

Yes for the bad fuel average, please look into having the carbon cleaning service done it will improve your fuel average by a large margin as well as drive with a light foot.

Please have your gear oil drained. It's limit is 3.5 litres and will not take more. Since you have overfilled it, it stresses the CVT gearbox which is bad. The gear box is exactly the same for turbo and non turbo. (I have changed 4 n series cars both turbo and non turbos so can verify that 100%).

Who ever said that it takes 4 litres doesn't understand the car and their illiteracy can cost you a 40k gearbox in replacement! So please do drain out the excess 500 ml fluid.

A Mira condenser and radiator fit well on the n one. (Have that in my car as well). Yes the ac performance does die out on idle. 2 number gas if it would have been the case would have damaged your compressor by now since it makes the system run much heavier than its supposed to so don't worry out on that. If it's properly recharged it should work well.

Also regarding the fuel average, are you following the changing light pattern and trying to keep the peddle in the green zone than the white or blue? (Green is the optimum eco zone).

Will take care of that, I actually went through the "users manual" of the 2013 N-ONE and it suggests 2.3litre of HMMF as transmission oil.

That is actually 2.7 litres for engine oil and 3 litres exact for HMMF recommended CVT oil. I have a screenshot that I can't seem to post from the manual here at the moment.

I would also like to add that for a standing N One, ac performance is terrible but is excellent when moving.

CORRECTION:

If oil only drained then 2.3-2.6 litres.

If oil pan removed and put back then 2.6-3.5 litres (check on gear oil dip stick by opening left side wheel well small shield held with 2 clips and drain/top up accordingly).

I downloaded the manual from http://www.honda.co.jp/ownersmanual/pdf/auto/n-one/30T4G6010_web.pdf -- There go to page 277 and onwards. Its in Japanese but I have been using Google's translate App for "live" translations.

I did order a condenser for N-ONE that I was told will arrive in a few days. The bad petrol average that I talk about is also related to the fact that here in Multan, places are quite close to each other so when I commute, due to traffic, my car never goes past 30km/h speed.

Yes you are right. Now it seems mine is also overfilled by 0.7 liters. I will get it drained first thing in the morning. It seems as Google Translate app didnt pick up the 2 and only read 3 so I had assumed the same. I would recommend you have yours drained out as well!

Update X 2:

I had my excess gear oil drained out to just 2.3 litres and the car is lighter now. More of the car was randomly KNOCKING from the load at low end from the CVT. So overfilling beyond 2.3-2.6 litres would have definite a negative effect on the car (unless your oil came out really dirty and had to remove the gearbox oil pan for cleaning then might possibly take between 2.5-3.5 litres but do cross check by filling in 3 and driving around and then checking the dipstick oil level to top up or drain if necessary).

I checked the dipstick on the left side of the car that is by removing two small clips in the left wheel well to expose a gearbox oil level dipstick. Oil can only be checked on a HOT car after its used so if its low on a cold car its normal so check after a bit of driving and top up if necessary.

Got my way around N One maintenance logs on japanese forums and posting a few guides. One of which is HOW TO RESET TP SENSOR aka PGM-FI calibration (Japani ne TP sun ker bisti kerdi ) or engine check light coming on and fixing it without paying a visit to the scanner guy after throttle disassembly. (fingers crossed)

This issue happens in case some anari mechanic opens your throttle body for service and once installed back, your car gives the following symptoms:

Really bad braking performance
Car jerking on acceleration
RPMS are too high on start up or generally on idle

This screenshot taken from a japanese forum for N One Turbo but it should work for all N series cars with the S07A engine.

1. Turn on engine and warm up to operating temperature.

2. Turn off engine.

3. Remove both terminals + and - from battery.

4. Reconnect terminals after 5 minutes.

5. Turn off all electrical components in the car (stereo, lights, cigarette lighters; anything that can put load on the car)

6. Press ENGINE START button without touching the brake; all your gauge cluster lights would be on and engine not started. Car should be in this state for 1 minute.

7. Press brake and start the car. Let the engine idle until you hear the radiator fan engage twice.

8. Hold 3000 RPM for 2 minutes.

9. For simple N series cars, put your car in L mode or for Turbo cars, put in S mode and climb upto 2500 RPM and release the throttle. Repeat this process a total of 10 times.

10. Your idle should be now at the factory 850 RPM. Congrats.

People, I successfully achieved 580 kms on full tank of local driving within Lahore city.
The fuel average comes out to be 20.7 km/l (manually calculated)
Though, i used AC for like 15%.
Totally driven with medium foot(not very light foot). Though, floored a bit​

Petrol: Shell 92 RON
Engine oil: AMSOIL 5W-20
Air filter: Maxx air filter(costs around 550 from filter house DHA)
Tyres: 165/65/R14 with 30 psi.
