Just went through an oil change. Was using Kixx 5W30 semi synthetic that was supposed to run 5000 kms but changed it just after 4300 kms since the engine rattled on initial start up and high revs after 3500+ km though initial performance has been very nice till upto 3000 km mark.

Right now changed with the following from Filter House DHA

Mobil 1 SUPER Semi Synthetic 5W30 3 litres
Union Japan oil filter
Maxx Air filter (leppon or other brands out of stock)

I have an non turbo n one so above is all valid for turbo.variants as well except the air filter.

Engine rattle has reduced quite a lot now to very little now. Slight feeling of it being bogged down. Will update this post after doing 1000km as well as at the 5000 km mark.

Update: Kixx was fully synthetic and a hell lot better. This just made the average and performance crap. Mobil1 super avoid. Next up is AMSOIL!

The price depends on many factors. What condition the car is in, which model are you looking for, which exact variant are you looking for, to name a few. A fully loaded top of the line premium tourer 2014 or 2015, in a good condition, should be between 13.5-14.5.

Misconception of rattle noises. I have had a 15k driven brand new swift rattle up and throw pieces around. Zameen asmaan difference in build. Pricey? Yes hell a lot. But once you own one, you understand the daily life differences in almost everything. I'd prefer my n one over a Honda City any day.

So I went through the carbon cleaning and catalytic cleaning services from Motor Clean, last saturday. 10/10 would recommend these services for anyone looking to improve their car's overall performance. Looking forward to some fuel average gain!

@sabeehflying I did a test drive with a 12V 50A Osaka dry battery too that day. My eco idle still didnt engage. Even with no AC. On a side note, as a consequence of unplugging my battery, my car's lcd has been reset. It now demands a security code. Cant perform any functionality on it. Only the rear camera is working. Any idea from where I can get the security code?

Well what the ambient temperature outside vs on the climate control? It should be not more than 5 degrees i.e. Lowest ac tempt at 25 and ambient not more than 30c or else it will not engage. How much was the battery for?

Also please specify your make and model I will ask around. Generally for future now have someone connect an external battery onto the lines before replacing. Just tell them 'gaddi mein tracker hai'

And how is the performance now after carbon cleaning?

I think it was 32-33 outside and my climate control was on 28. Ill still get the battery though. I was getting it for 3300rs after giving my battery, originally it was for 4000rs. I think I should be able to get it for 3000rs. Lets see. Is it generally good waisay? The make Osaka I mean.

Yes I have noticed performance improvement after the services. Low end torque is better now. I will still wait for about a further 100kms of drive before passing a judgement on the fuel average

I got a maxx air filter for the moment and it is making my car bog down a lot. So might look for a K&N filter now that is the nearest size and mod it to fit. Will soon update on my findings.

I went to a guy on jail road and got the software reinstalled. Total time taken was about half an hour. Its all good now!

I am using a max filter at the moment too. Let me know If you feel a difference with the new filter. ill get it too since filter house wont have the japenese one for another month or two
