I dont think so... i have gd and it is also have an ohc engine... i dont need to go for maintenane every 1000 km interval... and its working perfect... just change ur oil at right time and thats it...

the things you mentioned are common and every bike need it even cg 125 being ohv need this maintenance

Yes, but OHC engine has more rotating parts than an OHV one.

It has to work extra hard to give more fine grained RPM control.

So it needs more maintenance in terms of that. As a result, you have to watch out for a timely engine oil change, otherwise you can risk making permanent damage to the engine. So it's more vulnerable to wear in such conditions!

As per my understandings, the Timely oil change is the most crucial for rings-piston than anything else. OHV or OHC comes second. A bad oil first damages the rings than any other part of an engine.

I have seen 2003 Suzuki Flash 2005 GS-150 models having sealed engines still.

I have seen 80's road masters with sealed engines still.

These all are OHC engines.

Its EXTREMELY annoying to have pillion in gs cuz jaisay hi thori ziada 'race' do to pillion peechay ki taraf girta hai

bhai aap 150cc ka jhatka do ge to pillion to peechay giray ga hi
go little easy on throttle, it's not 70cc.

GS smooth torquey engine is in a class of its own and it pulls the pillion weight happily but pillion keeps slipping to front because of seat angle, so it is up to the rider if he is willing to make this trade off

If slipping is the the only problem, then I think seat can be changed later if one finds the problem is serious

I have bought zero meter Gs-150 a week before..2 problems are there 1 is missing and the other is whenever I pickup the bike in 1st gear a khatak sound from chain comes though the chain is properly tight..how can I solve these problems as we have no specialist mechanic in our area..also guide me which tyre size I should buy rear tyre 100/90-18 or 90/90-18 and which company..thinking of TVS??
