Idk what and when was ur last experience with accord...
Each and everything of JDM cars is available. Firstly used JDM car dealers usually provide help with after sale services of these cars, they will run their office boys for you to hunt parts.. you dont need to try it. They know markets, they know where to source which parts from. Air/oil filters/ disc pads is a joke.. easily available.
In lahore Bilal Gunj is the hub of JDM cars and scrap mkt. You can get anything from bilal gunj, also now almost anything is available from Dubai brand new you just gotta order n pay before hand it arrives within days.
What do you think several hundred of car dealers in every city selling JDMs are doing? Do u really think all JDMs runing on the roads have mehran/cultus or alto fuel filters?
In fact ur opinion is based on lack of experience and lack of connections. Industry at whole cannot be blamed, you should rather say that u were not able to have a good experience with ur given exposure level.
What is ur guess? How does antique cars get restored in pk? How does old BMs, Mercs, Audis work? What ebt Ferraris, Lambos, Hummers, GM cars imported every year? Do they all sit in scrap yards by the year end? Its not true my friend...
You can source any sort of part within Pakistan or from Dubai as per ur requirement and specification within a few days. May it be the most awkward part of all... I am not saying that the experience would be smooth in all cases, but at least for Normal wear n tear parts.. it is no issue at all.
Sorry if it sounds harsh, but this general mind set is not healthy at all. Its no good that people want to stay stuck with Local low quality, high priced cars.
PS. these are not grey imports.. they are imported after paying complete taxes and are registered with all documents.
+ Good luck with dealership experiences!! They are not bound for anything, by any means.. . You can just pray for luck & having a smooth experience. Local dealerships are also no better than changing engine oil, filters and brake shoes.
