So it sit right on top of the intake manifold. But if they could have used Centrifugel charger it would have been more eeficient and more power too.

Nope 8 psi. Static compression was raised from 8 to 9 in the latter models (AE101).

They did'nt have centrifugal chargers as popular when GZE cam and given the low static compression, a centrifugal SC would'nt have suited the GZE as they centrifuge with speed while the GZE produced 8psi at 4000rpm.

i think 4AGE 16V suits me....as 20V was has limitations.....i don't wan't some massive power car but a car on which i can do some fun sometimes :P...here in karachi...4AGE 16V is not available.till i know...what about its price in lahore and adjoining areas....4AGE 16V and also 4AGZE....and 20V also.....here 20V is around 50K like i listen....20V also need some mods and fabrication to get in the engine bay of KP bcz Distributor strikes with firewall...some pplz remove firewall i see some.....4AGE 16V fits without any hassle...but need to do the whole fabrication of Foundations....i wanna know the price of 4AGE 16V and 20V in lahore if someone knows in karachi also......i must visit shershah to have some info regarding these engines...i must end up doing something :)...either my KP60 or later some Toyota with this...

interesting thread, i am keeping my mouth shut:) for a while at least.

core of the thread so far is which is the best and best is a broad focused word depending on individuals with limited budget. not mentioning type of chassis here and other requirments.

apperantly on this forum or in Pakistan general Chassis is not considered and only engine is for mods. I do not know why but some might be abe to answer that.

Well Centrifugle chargers have been in use for a long time, and they can be run at lower psi just like the roots but roots provides better low end then the centrifugle and hence the use. Centrifugle chargers are more of mid range performers.

racerf1: in simple words 16v is a better engine for serious mods, and 20v is a better engine stock. i have kept both and again i wait, want to know what budget range people have for modifications and how much hp is the requirement. as we know serious power in engine and car chassis and other mechanical support parts costs more than buying some new cars.

In Khi the gze is much more popular..there was one blue indus corolla with a 4agze but with a turbo, its used to beat Rx7s..4agze has the advantge of forged internals,connecting rods and light weight crank, so a it can be run on big boost.....the 20 v is better as a stock but if blown it can also do sum amazing stuff

yes 20v internals r lighter :)but gze having lower compression ratio and forged internals can be blown easily with higher psi :)..ne ways i think tht all the 4AGEs r excellent engines whether being a 20v or a gze..thumbs up to 4age

portage..girls are not just the thing in entire universe to be considered as HOT......b/w i also mention 4AGE 16V vs 20V....i don't seen and listen any girl named as"4AGE 16V or 4AGE 20V" :P.......
anywayz........4AGZE is bit difficult to find out..........i am getting just ideas from all around that what suits best...i also think earlier was right that 20V is just good as stock...4AGE 16V you can make it to mod higher and higher and higher....
Levin bhai......as i know you have prtty much experince in automobiles as well as you are much fimiliar with 4A Gen engine...so what you think....i must mention that i am not a racer nor i have any intensions to do so...i just wanna do some EFi Transplant on Any Toyota(till now) and that will be my project car just doing as its my hobby and interest like some has on Mobiles or what ever........
what i am thinking rite now is 4AGE either 20V or 16V in KP............what it all needs...
What tranny it need......?
can't it be run on stock differential...if no why?????design change or lack in performance?
what about mount fabrication....are they all need to be changed.....
B/w 4AGE was among one of the classic engine series TOYOTA ever produces...

well mods ki baat isleya ho jati ha coz wen a person swaps in a motor he spends alot of money so it should provide a good base to go higher n higher so its an importent part of discision making!

well you might be right that it needs better fuel but there is a solution to it and avery simple one which has been in use for a long time now over decade and half. Its called aquamist, which uses a water and sprays it into the charge to cool it down and the car with high octane requirement or detonation prone can be run on lower octanes with lower manifold temps.
