How many of you would repaint a car just to cover up a few scratches?

I had black honda city 2009. Soon it caught some scratches on 2 doors fender n driver door. I repainted front back bumper 4 doors n 2 back fenders in 2010...it was still new . Sold it with no loss cz i exchanged it with w211. ..but still ill prefer to repaint.

would never repaint original car is original mujhe tu dil ki tasali bhi rehti ha car original ha just use some good wax/polish such as color magic and go on with it no need to repaint unless its an accident God forbides... i have a 2003 2.0d the car is old and has clock 250k kms its full of scratches and dents here and there no major accident and only front and rear bumper and right fender is replaced back in 2010 due to accident uskay illawa no repaint or filling has being applied i like it the way it is

some people are driving there cars kisi ka handle nai kisi ki light nai bumper latak raha ha one should avoid these kind of things and just keep it clean

That I agree with, but many adverts have resprayed cars where a certain percentage are accidented but people still claim it was scratched, I just want to see, how many would actually paint over a scratch

well if your car is attractive and good looking (coz you resprayed it), it will attract potential buyers compared to a car that isnt good looking.

That only works when a proper paint job takes place, those are expensive and most don't opt for them. Most of the time, the paint shade usually doesn't match

Alright, and would you also respray a car to brighten it's color? Say its a 15 year old car with slightly fading paint from a few places

Of course yes... I hate fade away colors and scratches... And amazed by the thinking of people while buying used cars... i often laugh on them... Yar 10 saal purani gari lene ja rahy ho or body pe touching dekh rahy ho, instead of checking the engine and suspension etc... We all know our road and traffic conditions, and spray and touching are minor issue to me... Yes the car should not be having major accident, do check its pillars, supports etc, but no use of pointing out sprays etc in old car... If the car is well maintained, it will speaks for itself...

Coming to the Sellers now, What we lack is EMAAN, we dont trust Allah Almighty by heart... Though everyone says that RIZQ ALLLAH DETA HAI, but we dont mean it in our heart... We keep on selling our EMAAN for few thousands or few lac rupees... Yar what, if a person buy a 1.2 million car, for e.g i have bought a car, used it for 2-3 years or more, enjpyed its luxuries, and it sells on 1-2 lac less price... So what, that 1-2 lacs will change my status of life if i earn them by meter reversing and hiding any flaws etc... Can this money earn me a home or a mercedes or fulfill my all needs or what...

Actually we dont understand the meaning of RIZQ... Hadith mafhoom is whoever says 5 time prayers Allah Almighty will ease out his RIZQ... RIZQ is not khana peena, it includes all your needs, residence, cars, needs of your wife and children etc. All that will be eased out by Allah and many unfortunate incidents will be taken from that person...

In this perspective, Think if someone save 1-2 lacs or few thousands by selling the car by lie, May be Allah entrap him in COURTS and HOSPITALS for some unfortunate cases or diseases, and he lose more money than he earn... On the other hand a person with truth earning less or losing money on sale, Allah provide him some other opportunities in life and keep him happy...

You see, mechanically, a vehicle can always be fixed, body and structure wise, it can't. So that is why body is the first priority while buying a car, if the body has been beat, no point buying the car because it has already lost its resistance. As for your second point, I agree with what you say but I am just trying to clear some queries in my head so that one can then generalize the majority with some proof.

People here are driving cars full of scratches faded paint dislocated body panels claiming genuine
My interval of changing car is 2-3 years max but i drive carefully
In my opinion a neat and clean car which has few touchups and a total genuine car with scratches and scuffs both have same market value
I don't know why people are so obsessed with faded scratches vehicle

For the person who is selling the car if his car is total genuine with scratches and scuffs the buyer will object at scratches and try to reduce demand on this point that the car has scratches
And if the car which has a resprayed panels the buyer will object on that

People here are always play these tricks to reduce demand so no need to worry about respray
I mean why would a park a car in my garage which scratches tease me everyday

If i am going to buy a used car i would prefer a neat and clean car with few touchups rather a fading scratched rusty car thanks
