How much oil is needed in an L15A2 (iDSI) engine?

I just don't want to say it. But you might feel knocking again when u will use regular petrol. Don't know the reason why, but it has happened with me. My car's previous owner swapped L12 to L13 with the original ECU and wiring and knocking has never ended since then. Only time knocking is over when I pour it with hi-octane.

Solution is there -- hi-octane. So nothing to be alarmed. Unfortunately we have to live with whatever poor standards we are entrusted to.

By the way, I was wondering, what is the octane number of the regular petrol that is sold to us in Pakistani petrol pumps? And what it is for the hi-octane one?

Random searches on Internet to find the recommended rated hi-octane number for Honda Aria L15A2 engine gives me mixed results. While most of them say it must be 87 or better, one listed it as 91. So if knocking returns, than perhaps it would mean that we get petrol that is poorer than the 87 rating.

Regular 87, but hi-super from total parco is 90. Hi-octane is 91

L15 does have an EGR which now sits without an electrical connection. I am wondering what could go wrong this way. Any tip?

Since L12 ecu has no reading for egr u r good to go
Obviously to get the best n most out of L15 wld hv meant to wire egr + L15 ecu
But if car is giving no trouble let it b i guess

oa. Brother how s your car going? I just swapped my L12 to L15A2. although Its just one day and I am enjoying the pick and performence. The only thing is concerning the same ECU for this EGR thing. Any tip on it or did you experience anything abnormal or noticeable so kindly share.

I left EGR without any connection.
I used the old engine wiring and ECU, no change.
And it is still going great, Alhamdulillah.

Hi sir. Can u tell me k ap k l15a engine me knocking engine oil ziyada hone se huwi or performence b kam is wajha se huwi. Then kia kiya ap ne. Actually mene b swap karwaya l15a 1.5 pehle performance buht achi thi but now gari buht down down feel hoti us me 4 liter dalwaya mene zic x9 5w-40. Egr wotking.
Any suggestions plz

Just for completion, back then, the engine costed us Rs.25k.
