How to claim insurance

For Me I drop the car at my authorized dealer, he takes care to follow-up with insurance repairs claims and my share for the damages (if any)

Now the proper way :- Call the insurance company about the damage and for where the vehicle can be surveyed, the agents comes takes snaps and allots the repairs which can be claimed.

I'll suggest you to leave the car at your trust worthy 3S dealer, and tell him to follow up with the repairs with insurance ppl.

Is it really that simple? I heard claiming insurance is a hectic job in Pakistan. You also may have to offer bribe to the agent so he files proper report. Heard it from many people.

Yar just call the hotline number. Tell them where you want yr car to be inspected. The surveyor will inspect it the same day (if u insured thru a good company) and then the 3s will prepare an estimated amount of repairs. That will be shared with the claims dept of the ins company who will negotiate with the 3s and discuss with you and will give go ahead once all decided. Since 2014 model, you will have to give 30% depreciation on parts only (if yr car is manufactured before april 2014 as it is 3rd year now, and 20% if its post april 2014. Labour will be fully paid by insurance co.

Writing this as i myself work in the biggest ins co of paki so its a routine work here

I get the regular tuneup of my car done from Ig motors but so far i am not satisfied with their work and usually have to take my car again 2 to 3 times to get the problem adressed properly.

What do you recommend should i get the work done from them or any other reliable 3s dealer in the city which you know of who can give the desired results ?

I prefer Mandviwala queens road behind state bank building I.i chundrigarh road - for IG motors do not know much if you have good salam dua with them, yes hand over the car to them.

Its not different for city to city. Insurance cover is throughout pakistan even if it gets accidented on china border. But yes, its easier in bigger cities as they have plenty of 3s dealers + big workshops. Usually big workshops dont want to work with ins companies since their payments are not settled before 2 months normally. But 3s per koi jata he jab hai jab insured ho ya company maintained car ho. Warna unki prices ko kon pay kray ga! Recently a friend's cultus got hit badly from one side (rhs). The bill by 3s was of 280k!!!! I was like k bhai ja k kisi aur se banwa lo, max 50/60k me bann jaegi car. But since insured thi, he gave it to 3s and ins company paid 70% of it. Car was 3 years old

one of my know person got his santro hit, which was insured and it was hard for him to convince the agent to make a report and claim for insurance as he told.
in your friend's case who paid the rest of 30%? its almost 90k still.

if i was there i ll earn 150K+ instance of paying 50-60K (i.e he paid 30% of 280K)

Claiming the insurance is bit tricky in Pakistan..
We have one suzuki alto 2003 model , we claimed 45000 in 0ne year 2014..
I bought policy in 2014 from kuwait takaful , after one month I changed both lights and bumper passenger side full dent paint , then again after one month did driver side complete dent paint ,
and I paid ZERO rupees to anyone

Considering 30% amount which ill have to pay then it must be a good amount because everyone knows 3s are pure ripoff and ill not be sure whether they are overcharging me or its the true amount.

Can i get the same work done from any other good denter painter if the insurance covers it ?

Dost, aap ko labour ka 1 rupay bhi charge nahi hoga. Think your bill comes for 50k out of which 10k is labour. You have to pay 30% of 40k in total i.e. around 12k and your car will be totally genuine with brand new original suzuki parts. Is it bad and expensive still?

Adamjee is TOP. Efu is TOP too. Others are very down the line. Adamjee has restored its old rates now.. It will be 3% for yr car. 31st Aug was last day for 2.35%. Maybe it will come back.

sir, 3% for today Adamjee comprehensive insurance with 3rd Party claim. in includes terrorism, riot, theft, snatch, burglary etc etc (i.e. comprehensive cover). i am sending you my number you can call me to discuss.
