Is it stated somewhere in the income tax literature that the WHT can be adjusted in the next year as well. As my company's account ppl are adamant that the adjustment has to be made in the same year (except for the WHT paid on purchase of car).

I bought a car in 03/2014. I got my NTN number in mid 2015. Then i file my returns from 01/2014 till mid 2015. Now I've a active filler since then. Is there any possibility that I could refund paid tax on my car?

As the fiscal year is near to close and I am salaried employee whose income tax is deducted at source.

I want to know that How can I claim/refund the WHT tax paid (mobile prepaid card, I can get tax certificate from ufone's website against my number, internet tax on EVO etc).

I am active tax payer and filling returns via fbr online portal from last 3 years (2012,2013 and 2014).

Can some one explain me the return procedure?

I bought Corolla gli last year and paid 30000 withholding tax on that but not found any coloum on the web portal to adjust that amount so I thought that was the part of registration fee which is non adjustable coz we can only adjust excess income tax paid as salaried person if I am right then told me and if right then guide me coz I sold my gli and booked Civic X and now I have to pay another 75000 as withholding tax so if anyone can guide how to adjust that or told me if that is not adjustable. I shall be highly obliged.

First of all fill the IT-3 form available on FBR website and submit it to your employer as soon as possible. Ask them not to deduct any income tax in this fiscal year i.e. In april, may and june salary as you have paid 75,000 rupees as advance tax already. Also attach the copy of invoice or proof of submission of 75k WHT.
After June, file your tax returns and enter the non refunded WHT amount in rebate or excess tax paid. This way you could demand excess tax paid from FBR. But I'm not sure about it as anyone has obtained it this way but i will try this year to get the refund. I also purchased a 1.8 vehicle and paid 75k and have not been deducting any tax from my salary since January. But still 39k will go unadjusted. So will update you later on it but still first you gotta ask them not to deduct any tax for the remaining 3 months of this financial year

How many years worth of past refundable tax amount can be claimed and/or adjusted in current return filing? i.e. for upcoming 2016-2017 return filing, what is the past farthest fiscal year refundable tax amount I can get adjusted?

I'll not separately add the 39k. I'll mention the 75k in the code I mentioned in the other thread (don't remember the code). Since I paid 36,000 less tax to the Government from my salary, but on the other hand I paid 75,000 in excess (advance) to the government, hence the net tax refundable would come out to be 39,000 on the fbr system calculations.

Yes bro you mentioned the code in other thread and that was quite helpful but that was about withholding tax but now query is changed here and now question is where to add the access amount ?let me clarify as if you paid 75k in july 2015 but your tax from july 15 to june 16 was was 36k so that will be adjusted but how and where in which code to add the remaining access amount of 39 k in income tax return of july16 to june 17... hope you understand.

Is it possible to get WHT on banking transactions back for non filer once they file a tax return? My father is a tax filer but due to some confusion he didn't able to file his online return on time so he became a nonfiler for one day and at that same day Bank deducted WHT on his cheque. Father is a teacher and his tax is deducted from salary.

I have adjusted last year some amount. refund is long process but u can easily adjust excess tax in next year. actually office accounts as already deducted and send the tax to govt that's why adjustment is needed. we usually ask our account person to keep a margin of 5000 less tax. then we adjust our taxes and submit the remaining amount

No idea bro..perhaps apply for refund but take someone's opinion first.
I have also a due refund but didnt apply due to uncertainties.
