How to save Patrol/gas while driving

50-75% throttle gives you optimum torque
Don't use the A/C too frequently (yeah... i guess these idiots were doing this test in Canada... or the Antarctic)
Stick to the speed limit (useful advice...)
Check tire pressure frequently.

Add the following if you want to save fuel:

• Change gears less frequently
• Brake less frequently
• Drive at a consistent speed
• If you're driving a stick keep your shifts within the recommended RPM range (these are metioned in the owners guide)
• Always drive on the highest gear possible

Yup. Heard all of these. I actually wanna give it a shot and see what's what.

I was watching CNN and that's how i first found about hypermiling... less than a week ago actually. The car in question was the '04 Accord LX, and he got roundabout 40mpg! It'd be a miracle if i got more than 23!

adding a bit to the he topic if you ppl missed that part. The car shown in the video is a civic hybrid which is an electric + Fuel operated vehicle. I t operates mainly of electric when at lower rpms fuel is frequently used driving at high speeds.
