Once i wanted to send my admission fees to singapore in form of singaporian dollar cheque then i went to money exchanger, given my money to him he made sing dollars check to me which i sent to university.
Regarding deduction, if u r sending money to US through pakustan and pakistani bank doesnt hv intermediate bank in newyork then they hire service of some lical bank and thats why 20 dollars deducted but if pakistani bank has any intermediate bank in new york then no amount will be deducted
