After a grueling hour and a half of shopping, we spent the evening at the "Waterfront", a food court cum plaza by Hussain Sagar lake...here's a view of a part of Hyderabad from the plaza...more pics to follow tomorrow!.....
continuing with the last set of pics from my Hyderabad trip.....the "Waterfront" , our last stop for the day, before boarding a 1 1/2 hour flight to Madras....
the parking lot!
a bucket load of "dum" biriyani, copiuous amounts of soda, a rumbling stomach, legs tired from walking and ears banging from listening to da Mrs., this place was a welcome respite from the day's roaming!!....
one could also take a boat ride on Hussain Sagar lake from this jetty....
da boat.....
i decided to take a little walk and some of the things i saw!...
a group of AIDS activists handing out literature and condoms!!...why they chose to be this dramatic is what i wanted to ask them..
there was a small bike show goin' on where they were introducing the new TVS Apache RTR 160cc bike....
do you see the rain pouring down in the distance?...i did!!...we decided to scoot fast to Begumpet airport in our 1-banger limousine before the deluge!!...and did it rain?..it poured...a section of an overhead expressway under construction came crashing down in a suburb of Hyderabad while i was munching on a white chocolate cookie at the airport...that's how bad it was!!..luckily the deluge stopped half hour before our flight was due to take off and things started limping back to normal!!...a smooth flight saw us landing in Madras Kamraj domestic airport at 925p and it was back to my uncle's house, from where i've been posting these pics!!...Hope you like the pics!...

Thanx for your comments!.The only regret i have is that i take gloomy weather wherever i travel, it seems!!.Bad lighting didn't make for good photos and there's only that much of a city one can see in about 8 hours and especially since shopping was the main purpose behind this trip!!.I didn't have time to visit Faluknama Palace(the Nizam's official residence), Golconda Fort, Hi-Tech city , Banjara Hills and other Hyderabad highlights.I was going thru this thread and saw that i had left out a few pics!.Here they are!!....
the Hyderabad Marriott hotel on Mozam Jah avenue is a beautiful showpiece building that looks straight out of a Disney theme park and i did take a pic, but i dunno what happened when i uploaded pics on the comp...i must have deleted it by mistake!!...this is another nice building i noticed...i dunno what it is!...
