Nice thread. I am also a semi hyper-miler

I used to get 19-23km/l every time i drive my car to university(17km route)
now i get hardly 20-21km only if i drive for 3,4mins on 5th gear and average is between 14-17 now.
Oil is changed on time, Tire pressure 30-35psi, NO CNG, filters are good.

i change gears usually on 3rd gear 25-35km/h, 4th max to 45-50km/h, 5th from 50 onwards. No low pulling(change 1 n 2nd gear under 2k Rpm till 30km.

i mostly get 100kms/ cylinder in my baleno filled for 560Rs(before CNG price Hike) 8Kg gas...thata like 12.5kms/kg

My Mehran gives about 65kms in 350Rs...thats like 13km/kg

What should i do??

i used to run a mixture of supreme + hi octane some months ago and the car used to give incredibly good mileage especially on long routes

I really want to swap a trubo 660CC in my Alto JDM.. But only thing that scares me is the fuel consumption. By reading your post it says turbo engines should give more mileage on low RPM.. Kindly elaborate..
BTW my alto 660 CC gives me 12.50 with Mix drive i.e around half with AC and half without AC... Should i also replace or clean fuel injectors?

what i have notice that its easier to hyper mile on cars with bigger engines (4 cyl) when compared to smaller engines (3 cyl)

Thanks for nice info about mini pajero , please let me know witch engine now you have replaced from 600cc turbo to

600cc 16 valves or 1100cc 16 valves because you did not mention about it .

I recently purchases Suzuki every wagon pz turbo 2006/2012 and the mileage is terrible. It's hardly giving 11 or 12 km/liter on long routes.
I was thinking what's the point of purchasing a 660 cc car if it's mileage is that bad?
Based on your suggestions, I will try to change spark plugs and fuel injector.

Probably because its 660cc, depending upon load, if you car is under power and it has to push to get the required speed (e.g 100-120 km/hr) it will definitely be thirstier and less fuel efficient. This is the reason 1500+ cc cars do better on long routes with more load
