Thats right but only a handful will believe on it as Pakistani users eyes are swelled with love of Toyota and Honda they cant see any thing else than that. No matter the endurance another brand has established in different markets.

Shocks and other car parts eventually go bad.

They wear out in all the cars. Just at different times.

So, think about the time when you might have to replace them.

The cheapest and easiest availability is probably with Toyota / Grande. It’s also tested on the roughest and toughest roads/potholes of Pakistan.

Elantra too may be tough n reliable. It’ll be a few years until we find out when it has run on our roads for a good amount of time.

Currently if I’m not wrong it’s more expensive than a proven car Grande. That doesn’t make sense.

Hyundai app with possibly some connectivity. I believe Toyota Indus also offered something on their Grande ?

I dont think it will be a the BLUE-LINK as Hyundai overseas has it and that need genuine headunit and proprietary software.

The new headunit on PKDM Elantra seems a downgrade to me as they removed the unit with licensed apple CarPlay and android auto. The new unit might mirror your phone BUT not a real CarPlay or android auto

Bull shit. I'm going to lodge an official complaint with Hyundai motor company in South Korea. Already lodged a complaint with Hyundai Nishat. This is unethical and wrong. This is not what I booked when I booked the Elantra. This is not what I paid for. This is pure and utter bullshite. Increase the bloody price and give us this pathetic after market screen? It's not even fitted properly, looks like a jugaad. It's encroaching on the air conditioning vents. I mean, what in the world are they thinking?

here is the real BLUELINK. The vehicle in the video is the new Elantra but the Bluelink features are similar across the models and was offered on previous generation Elantra.

gone is one good reason for booking this car. this seems like a cheap chinese unbranded unit. what a shame over a petty amount saved. despite price increase where they could have offered something better. seems like all new cars are turning out to be a disappointment. i dont think its worth to sell grande or civic for elantra anymore

Look around, in the facebook group some users are disappointed that they got the old unit and Hyundai has changed to new infotainment units now, simply exchange with those people lol. The biggest drawback with this unit for me is the lack of physical buttons, it has ruined the entire aesthetic of the dash and makes it look like any regular rolla or Civic now with those aftermarket touch buttons on the side. And obviously Apple car play won't be there either, and bluetooth calling quality might be degraded. Can only tell once someone is able to properly review this.

I spoke with a lady in Hyundai Nishat earlier today. She was the head of the customer services division I think. She noted down my complaint, understood it and somewhat agreed as well. Said she'd get back to me. Suggested that I, in parallel, continue my efforts with the dealership as well. So I did. Called up the owner of the dealership and had a chat with him. He said that this is a localisation change and it will be done to other cars as well e.g. the massive jutting out screen in the Tucson. And it was approved by Hyundai Motor company in SK. However he said, take a look at it first and if you don't like it, there are enough customers out there who'd prefer the new screen and we can switch the screens without voiding the warranty (I hope). Additionally, he said that there a host of features in the new avn panel and as per his own assessment it doesn't look that bad, but he himself was against the change.

So let's see. Allah tawakul.

Don't think that's an option. A switch may be done. But an opt out is not an option. I'd suggest to ask the dealership to show the fitted panel in an Elantra.
