Solution? The whole "gaaama style" illiterate mechanic culture at Hyundai Nishat is laughable, let alone a fix.
That is if you're lucky enough to get treated ethically or professionally.

They will make every excuse known to man to avoid fixing it because they don't have the required tools or knowledge. This includes blaming you, your driving, petrol or adulteration in fluids, etc.

So, their 300,000 KM warranty is bullshit. They won't claim it, if it comes to that. They just have 3 mechanics for the whole city.

As for a workaround, I am doing my own investigation since I figured that my younger brother knows more about engines and ECU than the untrained and uncivil mechanics at Nishat!

Did that already.

Nothing happens except “sorry for inconvenience” etc and wild guessing that the tracker is doing this, of which there is no evidence!

Nishat is incompetent and I don’t have mental energy to pick up the phone and start arguing with them again. They are so disorganised that you have to start all over again when they transfer you from person to person!

Battery shows “healthy” again on the official Daewoo battery tester. In my own calculations the “idle or parasitic current draw” is less than 50 milliamps, which Hyundai never bothered to check, is also normal. I am testing a few scenarios now by keeping the car parked for long.

it might be due to hydraulic tappet adjustment system in hyundai engine which is similar to toyota. on cold start the clearance of the tappets is a bit more and they tighten up automatically after engine reaches operating temperature.

Guys if you have any issue you have to fight with the dealers. Below are the issues i faced.
1) Vibrating brakes - As they already manufactured many cars last year and this year and sold less, so they have many cars standing at their factory. so when you order they are giving you in 1 month. Due to long stay at factory brakes got rusted and vibrate once applied at high speed. This issue was solved by dealership through buffing the brakes disk.
2) USB failure - Tracking world is responsible and now a days no one is using usb so i ignored this issue, also i dont want my dashboard to be opened by tracking world just because of USD port.
3) Doors Color Variation - in all hyundai cars in silver metallic color front and rear door colors dont match, one is darker and one is lighter. upon complaining they said this is not an issue and have shown me many elantra and tucson, yes difference exist in all silver metallic if you observe closely during day time, under the shadow.
4) Rust under driver seat - for this initially i am very polite with hyundai to replace the seat but they are keep on saying we will let you know or we will apply some sort of chemical to clean it but nothing was happening so i apply strict method to get this done and they have admitted to replace it.

Hyundai cars are wonderful but dealership, local vendors and factory are damaging the repute.

Update:

The issue was RESOLVED after doing a Factory Reset for all options from the MID.

Also, make sure to never leave the headlights switch to AUTO when parked. It should be set to OFF.

Two options in the ECU drain your battery and since Hyundais don't cut off ignition on low voltage, the engine can knock for a few minutes. The culprits were:

Headlights Delay
Welcome Mirrors

None of the gamma mechanics at Hyundai Faisalabad, knew about it.
So today after verifying the fix for a few weeks, I enlightened them. And they didn't even bother to say, "thank you"

But thanks to my younger brother Ali for doing all the troubleshooting.

Umair bhai i own elantra and i m coming from altis 2018 actually the thing is ka elantra ka sath Toyota ya Honda ka logo nahe or abhi market bhi down not only hyundyi toyota ki bhi market down hn abhi main na sell ki altis second ka car mai koi issue he nahe hn to apko reason kaha se daga . Elantra ki drive same as civic x jasi han opinion differ ho sakta hn person to person .

My Elantra 1.6 GLS is a CKD unit. Graphite grey color. Stunning looks. There is no variation of color on doors. The color variation has something to do with local workmanship. Excellent drive. It had Korean Kumho tires which are not good for our environment and out of 5, 3 tires were bulged from sides in less than 30K KM. Replaced with similar Michelin Energy tires which are performing good.

The battery died down this year in July and I replaced 45A dry battery with a 65A dry battery. Never experienced the knocking sound mentioned by "bassu".

This is not like local unit. I had it in April 21 much before it was launched in Pakistan. The car was stored with Nishat for more than 6 months but never had issue with brakes. It is without sunroof. without LED lights but overall performance is very good.

A limited number of cars (Around 200 units) were imported and sold in internal group sales (to companies of Nishat Group not to individuals) and I got one as a replacement of my official car.
The suspension is much harder that Altis. Still comfortable. Doors have to be closed with force and are not soft like Altis or other variants of Toyota.

The big advantage of Elantra over Altis is fuel average and pickup thanks to 6 speed auto transmission compared with 4 speed auto transmission of Altis.

Overall I am happy to have this as a replacement of Altis 1.6.

thinking about getting an elantra gls to replace our 1.3 gli corrolla from 2016. went on pakwheels and saw wayyy too many ads of people selling the elantra with barely 50kms on their car. is there any reason for this.

its approx 6 M now. i think its not the right price for C segment car. probably everyone is thinking the same. however all C segments are costing similar or more nowadays. that is why people are selling.

its an exceptional car. very nice experience. go for it. its a sure shot big time upgrade on a GLI and u will enjoy IN SHA ALLAH.
