I still don’t understand how dual zone climate works. Like one side vents are throwing hot air and the other is throwing cold air. What will the temperature of the car be then? Neem garam?

There are separate airway doors and actuators to evaporator/heater core for driver and front passenger.
If one side puts it higher than other, the air from that side won’t get in contact with evaporator/core as often as the side set at lower temp. So the throw of air from the aircon can be more cool/hot on one side than other.

I’m disappointed wid tires. It’s general tyres made in Pakistan. I need suggestions should I change tyres now and which one to buy. Or should I wait further

Yes for best fuel efficiency and performance.

Change it to OEM size 205/55R16 Yokohoma A406 available in official import . This tyre also comes fitted in Grande.

Brother there are 2 options. both involve changing tyres anyway. i think general take away at least 20-30% of ride pleasure anyway.

so option 1, keep same rim size and get yokohama tyres. Advan DB v552, Bluearth ES32 or Bluearth A AE51. all are exceptionally good tyres, besides u will save money selling these general tyres new. recommended size in 16 inch wheels is 205/55/16 or u can also opt for 215/55/16 as well.

option 2 is switching to 17 inch wheels. which color is your car? choose yokohama again. u can get tyres in 205/55/17 or 215/55/17.

either way u will save money selling these general tyres new.

they should have given kumho tyres since its a korean brand.

I just changed from general to yokohama advan db v552. Made loads of difference kept the same profile 215/55r/16. I am nearing 1000 km. Gonna go for first inspection. For oil should i go for Shell Helix Ultra 5w20 or 5w30.

I had a Toyota Grande before this drove it from brand new for 5 years. Elantra is a definatly an upgrade. Suspension is not as soft as Toyota you can say it is in between civic and corolla buy in a good way. Drive is also good. Im enjoying driving it so much ive driven 1000km in a week.The only downside was tyres which i changed.
Build quality is solid. I dont care about resale. I care about personal satisfaction and im satisfied.

Use the thinnest recommended oil grade for the car. Modern cars use 0W-20 or 5W-20 I think. Also, get all maintenance done from the dealership when car is under warranty. Outside oil changes can void the warranty.

Well a round trip to nearest dealership is a 400+ km journey for me. It wouldnt be possible for me to go to dealership just for oil changes. Hyundai need to extend their dealership network.

also do share the details of the cost of switching the tyres.

Regarding resale, dont worry its gonna b the biggest hit soon IN SHA ALLAH. just that Hyundai need to ensure proper and economical support structure.

Upto my understanding it should be 5w30.

Old tyres were adjusted for 25 thousand rs. New one was 19500 per tyre

yes for oil grade your understanding is correct. 5w-30 API SN fully synthetic is the oil you need. Our weather conditions are quite similar to middle east since we have summers for almost 8-9 months now.

as per my experience shell helix does not have fully synthetic API SN 5w-30 on offer so you can use Mobil, Kixx, Total 5w-30 API SN fully synthetic oil.

What is the recommended change interval in the car manual? in toyota there is a table usually oil and oil filter need changing at 5k Kms/6 months whichever comes first.

table also dictates inspection and replacement details for different filters and components in the car manual.

ok but refrain from getting non synthetic 5w-30 shell helix blue pack.

only use fully synthetic api sn 5w-30 oil.

Yup , fully synthetic 5-30 is a good oil for Pakistan
I have seen a big fetish for 5-20 in pakistn, but that’s a very thin oil for a high temp environment
