I think the problem is in Plug Coils, Plugs and the Plug Wires, Use hit and trial method to solve the problem. I had Santro 2006 with me and i had same problem of back firing the problem was solve in four steps
Step 1 Tune the car according to the cng sttings Cost Rs. 1200
Step 2 Change the plugs to OEM plugs Cost Rs. 900
Step 3 Change the Plug wires Cost Rs. 650
Step 4 Change the plug Coils Cost Rs. 3600
Result: the main cause was Plug Coils (Note that this incident took place in 2009 and from that time till the April 2013 no issue was rose regarding back firing).

Hello Friends, i have few questions, please advise

I have santro 2006 model, got it few months back from a first owner and more than 1K km driven. I am using Havoline 20-50 for its engine oil but after each 3000K of drive it reduces around 1 litre of oil which seems not good .. right?

please advise what should i do to solve this issue.
Car engine is fine , it does not release any white smoke while starting it, its pick is normal. Mechanic says that it got weak rings.. how come i know that it is exactly a weak rings issue or it can be pvc valve / gaskit issue.. or should i change engine oil?

If the car is not giving any issues I'd recommend to just keep topping up the oil every now and then. Havoline 20w50 is good enogh no need to change the oil brand. pcv valve is right behind the air cleaner box, get it out and shake it, if some thing moves in it its fine, if not clean it with any carb cleaner and recheck. For headgas kit check the oil cap for any coffee like marks, or if there is any oil in the radiator....

another query,

there is kind of dhuk dhuk voice coming from the car front right side body on bumpy road, i asked 2 mechanics about that, both say your front shocks need to be changed but 1 mechanic says go for qabli shock , second mechanic says go for new korean one and swap both front shocks with new ones!

please advise what should i do also he told a single qabli could be around 3K rs and korean can be around 4-5 K rs both pair..!

Last day I have purchased Santro Club 2007 in H.Grey color.
Car is running fine but please suggest me What things I should do on immediate basis, like timming belt, engine oil, gear oil ETC

HISTORY
Its my third Santro, First was 2001 Plus, 2nd was 2003 EXEC. After selling my Santro Plus I purchased ALTO and was so disappointed with the performance. High Fuel consumption, Noisey engine cabin.. ETC. I sell that and brought a Santro EXEC 2003 but it was not a fit car, requires a lot things to be fixed, I sold it again and purchased Suzuki Wagon-R 660cc. It was good experience as power oack, EPS, AUTO Gear, Power Window.. ETC. but I feel less power, it was giving 13 KM in city and on long route 18-20 KM / LTR. On AC it losts its power and consumption go on higher side.... I sold it finally and again purchased Santro, but this time I got a fit car, Alhamdulilah.
SANTRO IS STILL BEST ALL THE WAY.

my santro headlights become too dim..know i need to replace the beam lights ....should i go for hid( 4300k or 6000k) or some other good quality high ratting bulbs..??

tell us more about your ride, whats the mileage on odo etc....
