AOA. I am feeling loss of power in my ride in first and second gear as the car takes lot more throttle.but in third and 4th gear goes very smooth.mostly when going at speed of 60/70 if i have to slow down and then move again at this stage car picks speed very slowly.my petrol and cng consumption is also very poor. I have shown to a mechanic he after having test drive said that clutch plates have gone weak and needs replacement.AN expert advice from all

My car ac compressor touching the body when it is operational.. Mechanic says show it to ac service shop.. What you suggest.

Your mechanic is right it can be due to week clutch and pressure plates. Try doing a burnout or try climbing an inclined road you will find out for yourself....

THANKS BRO.Your suggestion are always helpful.some say that doing a burnout is the most idiot way to show off your cars power.on the second one,few days back when i have to park on the upper parking of hyperstar lahore the car refused to move up when i was in middle,car started rolling back and came down,on second attempt i was successful. mostly if i have to stop on a little bit inclined traffic signal then i have to push the race paddle full to move forward and it creats lot of noise. wating your thoughts.

Great pads these are as iam using them for more then ayear now.

Need info on what milage on odo you have replaced timing belt?
Awaiting response asap as minw has clocked 65k almost and I'm curious about getting the belt replaced, although its not causing any problems yet....

My car have done 105000 KM
First Timing belt was changed at 42000 Km
Belt give no problem till it breaks.. If it is break then your engine tappet, ring piston all will gone.. engine will go for a major work..
SO ITS BETTER TO CHANGE AS PREVENTIVE ACTION.
One of my brothers friends santro engine was damage and gone for complete overhauling.

It give sound tak tak.. it is diagnosed that engine is little bit down due to engine holding rubbers.. in result AC compressor is to near the body.

A.O.A Santro Fans!!

I recently got Santro 2004 and Im very much liking it... I want to ask if any one can please show me the location of all the sensors through a picture?? I tried downloading and installing the .iso manual program but somehow it didn't work... Actually its been almost 5 months and I want to clean its engine area because its quite dirty... I see in the pics people post here and they have very clean engine areas... Or else can someone recommend a place from where I can get this servicing done?? (Rawalpindi)

mari car santro club 2003 white smoke start k wakat nikal rahi hay (i think car ko jab din main phali dafa start karo tabh) ..engine ka sound bhi abb zidha hay lakin water drop ab bhi tailpipe se atay hain.. mechanice ko dikhaya wo bolta hay bara masla nahi ... app logo ka advize layna chata kia karna chiay??? car ki race bhi mechanic ne zidha ki hoe hay kion kay kam karnay se gari bund hojati hay.. es k ilawa aglay wheel main break ki awazay ati hay jab gari mor khati hay ..or wheel garum bhi hojatay hain. mechanic ko 2 times day chuka hoon lakin masla still waisay heee hay... gari abb smoothly nahi chalti ...

White smoke you are referring to is due to bad valve seats you need to change them and u may also have to replace the rings....

Get the breaks serviced, break sound you are referring to can be due to bad disc pads you are using. you should try Frixya break pads they are very good and produce no sound...

You have been ripped off then. You must must must get the head gas kit replaced asap....
That means the history of heatup is even older then that....

As per your advice i got my work done on head gas kit from chuburji auto market.the mechanic used two head gasket[both thin]as khardia recommended him.new engine valves,new valve seals,new rings,new water jacket,new thermostat valve, new radiator cap and lastly new spark plugs.head was also faced.now the difference i am felling is more smoothness and little bit extra power.but now the engine sound has increased and very low tik tik sound of tappets.with t-stat valve installed the heat guage reaches first dot with in 5 mints and remains there.fan is auto now.no reduction of water now.but one problem is that fuel economy is poor.just 8 km per liter.any advice to increase fuel efficiency.

Good to know that your problem is some what resolved, since the rings are also replaced u must complete the breakin period to let the rings and valves take there place properly, usualy mechanics keep the tappets a bit tight during the breakin period which might be the cause of low fuel average. Once you have completed the breakin period u will need to get the car tuned again and tappets adjusted to get back to normal operations....
