Yeah there's another possibility. open the hood on the right side of engine, where the plug wires are going, u'll see a jack clean it with any electric contact cleaner sand then put it back, that should fix the problem, it happens some times to me too and it fixes it every time....

this is cam sensor, usually loss of power and jerk in gear knob, steering and dash is associated with cam sensor

Mine run around 230 to 235 km on every rs.2k fill which I think rightnow around 17.6 litre of petrol.

Didn't get chance of checking milage of whole fuel tank yet

A problem in a friends Santro 2002, sharing diagnosis and result.

Car will start run for 10-15 mins and then will switch off and wont start again until its cold again..will start again and switch off after warming up...Crank sensor was the culprit. Rs. 1,500 for the sensor and 1,000 for the labor...Asif Autos G-8..They are Good at efi/electronic diagnosis and have all scanners,

i am facing a heating problem in my santro nowadays whenever i drive my car in traffic or slow speed it heats up & temp: guage start rising i stop the car at roadside & check the fan by opening the hood it was not running at that time (automatic) , than i turn on the AC after some time the needle comes to normal, i visited the mechanic he check the fan by scanner & said the fan is working ok but the gaskit is weak ( if the gaskit is weak it should be same on AC on? ) , for safe side he directs the fan now the fan is running every time the needle is 3mm above zero but i am not satisfied with the fan direct . Can anybody help me out or any good suggestion for this issue.

Check car cooling system, fan should be auto and there must be thermostat valve in car. Heat guage should remain between 2 red dots, below and upper of these 2 points not good symbol, consult with experience hundyai electrician / mechanic , are you Rwp / Isb base? if so I can tell you about my mechanic..

Check the relay, in santro this problem occurs, fan relay timing might be changed or not working

^^ the automatic fan relay need to be changed, same issue with my friend santro, he changed the relay and now its not going up in slow speed or traffic. my santro is also giving the same problem now a days, I will also change that relay soon I.A.

i am having the same problem my fan kicks of sometimes and sometimes not the mechanic says some wiring problem.what should i do.

I took out the fan relay & found carbon on the contacts of relay i cleaned them with contact cleaner & sand paper i will check it today in the evening when going back to home & let you guys know the results ( also disconnected the jumper wire for direct fan )
