If coils are bad, car will make u cry on petrol and NOT on cng... Also, injectors have no role when car runs on cng until you have that special cng kit which is not installed in santro. So, its not a big issue. But go to a kaam jannay wala electrician..

Guys what is the cost of 80k service for club santro from Hyundai twin city motors isb. What things they do on this service. And as I have never done 40k service so does it covers all 40k service things in this service to.

@abid110 my santro is back on roads went to mechanic today and he checked the pulse in injectors and told me that cam sensor is not working as it should so u have to buy the sensor went to sultan ka khoo and brought the sensor and pulse was back. But car is not picking any race at all.
Then he said that fuel injectors r faulty kachra pas gaya hai in main naye dalne pare gain.
Then he opened fuel pump for the final inspection that it is alright. OK so problem is the pipe inside the fuel pump was not in its place mechanic put it back to its place and started the car and boom. Car is back. V happy with car performance on petrol.

Good to know this yar injectors me waqai kabhi blocking ho jati hai tou petrol spray per masla krti hai. And second issue is always pulse to injectors. BUT hamaray aala mechanics alwayd say k 'coils khatam hain aap k' although if coils are bad, car becomes cursed on cng but almost fine on petrol.my liana is still on factory fitted Denso Japan coils and almost clocked 120k kms! Same goes for all efi cars. Just go to a sensible mechanic who knows his work. Or you are screwed up in changing expensive parts although they are much ok for service life!

Guys, my Santro's fuel average had been terrible since the past 6 months; it gave 6-7km/litre, so I went in for an engine tune up, also told them to remove the cng setup. The car is now doing around 9-10km/litre, which's much better but still less than what it used to do (14km/lit). I told the mechanic to remove the tape on the air intake pipe (it was fully covering it), since I have CNG removed. But he told me "Sir issay kuch nai hota". So, I came home and removed the tape myself and the engine's sound suddenly doubled as if it had suddenly become more powerful. Since, I'm mostly clueless when it comes to cars; could any of you guys here help me out on how to lower the engine's sound if I remove that piece of tape? and will it increase my mileage (because I have a hunch that it will)?

instead of tape ,use proper rubber pipe for easy & free intake

Thanks for the reply, this is the piece of plastic/tape in the air intake. The pipe is proper rubber I guess.

AOA, For the last couple of months, I am experiencing a "tik tik" sound which appears to be coming from behind the speedometer. This is especially heard when the car's engine has cooled down and usually goes away after some time as the engine gets warmed up. Any remedies ?

1. With time, there could be blocking in injectors nozzle from where fuel spray comes out. Also, fuel lines too get a bit choked with time or dirty fuel

2. Pulse is actually a signal from the ecu of yr car. You can also call it current too to some extent. Efi cars need constant pulse from ecu to spray fuel and timing

3. Change plugs asap... Maybe your injectors having pulse issue too with one or two.. If coils are bad, car is bad on cng alot!

4. Do it only of needed

5. Gear oil is usually changed after 30k km or so.. It has nothing to do with engine but it lubricates yr transmission. Engines power will be useless if transmission fails to transfer power to wheels.

6. Use 10/30 zicA but make sure its original. Its semi synthetic. I use it in my liana.

Give yr car to a sensible electrician who will see the current and pulse issue.

Btw, ye konse plugs hain jo 120k km chal gaey! ? Plugs should be changed after around 20k kms. They are like smallest and cheapest part but most important thing to run a cumbustion engine.

5W-30 BY tOTAL is Full synthetic (not just synthetic formula). 5w-30 is not coming in Mineral oil Car is under overhauling nowadays,Can after rebuilding of engine,Can i use /switch to Full synthetic? will it worth so ? 5w-30 is thinner or not?

Stuffs bought after taking 3 quotes:

Also, since car is old now and you do not live in Muree, use 10/30 viscosity or 20/50 is car is very old and engine is eating oil. Synthetic oils have longer change interval.. Say around 8k kms..but minerals have max 5k km...that is maximum..which mean change between 4-5k kms..
